With every changing season there are new foods that come into light. When the sun comes out and the temperature starts to creep up, there are certain foods that you just crave. Here are some of my personal favorite (and coolest) foods to eat during the hot summer days:
1. Watermelon
Watermelon is one of my favorite snacks on a hot summer's day. No matter the time of day, when you bite into a piece of watermelon, it just tastes like summer.
2. Ice Cream
Ice cream is eaten all year round. However, in my opinion, it tastes so much better on a hot summer day. With the millions of flavors out there, you can easily try a different flavor every time.
3. Salad
Summer is the time when fruits and vegetables are at their peak. Everything is so fresh and colorful. Personally, I love salads all year round, but the ingredients are definitely fresher in the summer. Try to incorporate as many colors as you can into your salad!
4. Anything at a BBQ
One of my all time favorite activities in the summer is having a BBQ. There is just something about a "summer cookout" that is so perfect. Grab some friends and a grill and just cook everything that you can think of, because it is bound to be delicious.
5. Corn
Corn is the type of food you can eat in so many ways. My personal favorite is on the cob. You can grill it, roast it, boil it, butter it, do pretty much anything to it, and it will still taste amazing. If you're into guacamole, you should definitely try roasted corn guac.
