Summer has finally arrived. We've been given a much needed chance at relaxation, and a chance to reverse months of sleep deprivation. For me, when summer begins, I go threw three stages, mixes of recovery, relaxation, and confusion. Here they are, as told by the popular show The Big Bang Theory.
1. Nostalgia
Look, I'm grateful for a break. I am. But, two days in, and I'm already beginning to miss my friends, teachers, and classes. Even the classes I was bad at. I'm like Gatsby with Daisy, only remembering the good parts.
2. Seclusion
Look. I need time to recover. If that means hours of Netflix, diabetes-inducing foods, and isolation, so be it. I've earned it.
3. Inspiration
I have the time. Let's write a novel! A screenplay! Master quantum mechanics! The world is my oyster. Let's finally figure out what that saying even means.
