I have bushy eyebrows. And when I say I have bushy eyebrows, I mean I basically have caterpillars above my eyes. This is no exaggeration, I used to be called caterpillars because of how enormous these things were. When you have eyebrows as thick as mine it is pretty important to have some upkeep every now and then because they can get pretty out of control very easily. But this is a tale of when my roommate and two girls redid my eyebrows all together. So sit back and enjoy the show.
This happened about a month or two ago when my roommate and a couple of his friends were over. We were all just hanging out when a question was posed and it was directed at me.
“Hey Nic! Can I do your eyebrows?”
I was so confused on why she would want to but for some odd reason I agreed to this crazy idea. So I gave her my tweezers and my roommate and the other girl joined in and got a pair as well and then this memorable experience took its course.
Now as I stated before, every now and then I will just clean up the loose hairs and everything but I never full out pluck all the little hairs on my brows so I was not really that sure of what to expect. Once everyone got their tweezers all ready, they told me to lay flat on my bed and instructed me not to move because that could just make it worse. This scared the hell out of me. With a lot of hesitation, I did what they said and then it began.
I laid down flat on my bed and closed my eyes as the what seemed to be surgery began. My roommate and the two girls were very adamant in telling me to not move my face whatsoever because it would end up hurting even more. How could I just not move my face? I was twitching from fright for what was to come and they just tell me not to move at all? I did my best not move as the first hairs were vigorously plucked from my face. I did find out though that moving my face while they were plucking did indeed make it hurt even more.
I stuck with this process as they plucked hair by hair for probably around an hour. It was sheer torture for me. At one point two people were simultaneously ripping hairs from my brow at the same time. They were yelling at each other to make it even, get out of the way, they missed a spot, and other banter like that. I did not know what to do as they were yelling at each other, and then blood was spilled on that day. One of them pulled a hair that should not have been pulled and it just started to bleed. I could feel it, how could I not, so I asked them, “Oh my god am I bleeding?!”. They simply said no and kept working.
But through all the blood, sweat, and tears I do have to say my eyebrows looked pretty good after that traumatizing experience.
