One of the most common plans for Memorial Day Weekend is a trip to the beach. With everyone hoping to fulfill the same plans, it can be a little chaotic. Who better to speak on chaotic beach plans than the cast of "Jersey Shore?"
1. Finalizing your plans for the beach trip.
Especially in large groups of people, plans like this usually take a few days to draw out. After all the rides are planned out and everyone knows what they're supposed to bring, it is time to be excited about the day.
2. Getting stuck in Memorial Day traffic.
You knew that it was going to be busy and you're not entirely sure what you expected. Even though you left at an early time to avoid traffic, you're still bound to turn your hour long trip into at least two and a half.
3. Seeing the amount of people on the beach when you finally arrive.
This has been the beach you've populated for the past five years and never in your life have you seen this many people. Where did they come from? How did they find your favorite spot?
4. Finding a spot big enough for everyone to set their towels down and begin tanning.
Now that you and your friends have squeezed your way in the middle of eight different families, it is time to start tanning, or just lay in the sun covered in six layers of sunscreen like I do.
5. Overhearing other people's conversations while laying in the sand.
Because there are so many people in such a small area, you're bound to overhear some conversations that you would have rather been left out of. Just turn up the volume on the speaker you brought to drown them out and know everyone around you is tired of the remixes you have been playing.
6. Going on the boardwalk and getting some boardwalk food.
Nothing is better than pizza and ice cream you get on the boardwalk. Theses become essentials on beach trips, especially on holiday weekends.
7. Trying to convince your friends to get in the water with you.
For some reason, the older you get the less you want to go in the water. People hit an age where laying in the sand and taking a nice nap is the extent of their beach adventures. That being said, there is always one person in the group that wants to go in the water and hopes everyone will come with them.
8. Packing up to leave for the day.
You and all your friends get up to start packing your things away and get ready to leave. No matter how long you've been there, it still feels like too short of a time when you are getting ready to leave. But don't worry, you'll be back next weekend.
