3 tips to help you focus as the weather warms up

As the weather gets warmer and the days of school left before summer get smaller, it can be hard to focus on assignments and projects. Who wants to focus on school work when there are a million other things to do with the nice weather? This stretch is always the hardest, but here are 3 ways to get through it.

Take breaks

When you have 5 assignments to complete but the day is just so perfect, take breaks. After a certain amount of work, take a short walk and enjoy the weather. You’ll come back to your assignments feeling refreshed, you’ll have work done already, and you won’t feel like you wasted a nice day.

Sit outside

If the weather is warm, why torment yourself being locked inside? Doing your homework outside will give you the best of both worlds: the beautiful day and getting your work done at the same time.

Carve out time earlier

If you want to enjoy the weather later in the day, get up a little bit earlier to do your work in the morning. You’ll be less stressed throughout the day with your work already done, and you’ll have as much free time as you want when the weather is nice.

Being stuck inside doing schoolwork all day can be a drag when the weather is so nice. With these tips you can get the most out of both.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
