Your College Major According To Your Zodiac Sign

Aries: Theater

Like a theater major, the Aries tend to be adventurous and confident, quick witted and upbeat-- if not a bit of a daredevil. Always up for a challenge and ready to be the center of attention. They meet each task with enthusiasm and zeal.

Taurus: Psychology

Given the nature of the career they will undergo, it's no secret that the psychology major would be reliable, determined, and thoughtful. They approach each task with persistence and will see their projects through to the end, however much stubbornness it takes.

Gemini: Sociology

Sociology is the study of people and how they interact with others, which implies a level of adaptability as the nature of social sciences changes frequently. They are as intelligent as they are personable, but question everything and can be set in their views once they're made. Gifted with eloquence and the smarts to back up their convictions, sociology majors can defend their views driven with passion.

Cancer: Art

Art is one part inspiration with two parts stress. It takes a lot of creativity and imagination to make the art major work, especially when the projects start to pile up. The pressure to be original, mixed with the amount of love and caution that goes into the creation can make for an emotional and protective attitude towards their work.

Leo: English

The English department, whether it be writers or readers, can be full of the most loyal and loving friends you'd ever want. However, egos always tend to get a little inflated when you spend your time reading and creating entire worlds within words, which can lead to pompous and even bossy attitudes. However, at the end of the day, the english major has the capacity to see the world in beautiful ways, thus creating a very open mind.

Virgo: Physics

Physics requires a large amount of intelligence, as well as drive and passion for the subject. This creates a meticulous person in the physics major, as working with the little details makes them that much more important. Being critical is part of the business, but the hard work creates a sound logic in their analytical minds.

Libra: Business

Business majors have a very large task in front of them, having to acquire the stealth and knowledge of a lawyer but the charm to sell and network that would go with the arts. Having to balance practicality with diplomacy and social skills, this can make for a flexible and self indulgent person. But underneath the work ethic is a heart of gold, or at the very least, someone well mannered and refined.

Scorpio: Political Science

The scorpio is determined, passionate, and harboring force and power they might not be aware of. They can also be secretive, aloof, dark and mysterious, harboring resentment and obsessively working towards their goals. A lot of these can also be said for the political science major, particularly those working towards a career as a lawyer. But it's that passion and obsession that often makes them successful, since they'll do anything to reach their goals.

Sagittarius: Philosophy/Religion Studies

While these are two different majors, both spend a great deal of time observing the condition of the universe, the reason we're all here, and tossing around the idea of the existence of a higher power. Those who major in either field tend to be philosophical and smart, as well as open minded and always looking for the bright side in life. This optimism can be their downfall, since not everyone sees the world like they do. However, that vision is a powerful one that shapes their lives in amazing ways.

Capricorn: Anthropology

Anthropology is the study of humankind. Humans, as we know, can be difficult and even hateful at times, and the study of these faulty behaviors can create a pessimism within the anthropology major. But they also find out the magnificent things about how people interact and grow over time. They foster positive traits, such as a good work ethic and being able to focus on the moment they're in. These qualities combined make them both funny and able to hold their tongue at appropriate moments, essentially encompassing the good and bad traits of those they study.

Aquarius: Communications

Communications majors study the various ways we communicate with each other, including speech, media, and how this occurs in society. They tend to be very open minded and inventive, always looking for the truth and reporting it out into the world. At times they can be distant and unpredictable, focused on their work since they are typically self sufficient. But they're also determined and truthful, and as the name suggests, great at self expression.

Pisces: Music

Music takes a level of dedication, whether you play an instrument, sing, or compose. Those who major in music are sensitive to the intricacies of art and have creative and open minds. Their passion for their craft can make them whimsical dreamers who see more beauty in the world than most of us ever will. But their heart lies in their craft, where their instincts kick in to create something as natural and moving as they can be.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
