I consider my sister to be one of my best friends, if not my first best friend. She is so amazing and I know that I will always have a friend for life with her. Below are the reasons why my sister is the best:
1. She's always there for me.
My sister is always there whenever I need something. Whether it is helping me out with something or getting me food, I know that she will never abandon me.
2. She never judges me.
No matter what has happened to me or what I have done, my sister will be that one person that won’t judge me. She may get mad at me for something, but we will always work through it. And she will always have my back no matter what.
3. My sister tells me how it is.
Whether I’m wearing too much makeup or whether I should stop talking to that boy, my sister always tells me what I should do and she is honest about it. She doesn’t sugar coat it if I wear something bad or if I shouldn’t have done that. It’s quite refreshing actually to know that she won’t lie to me, especially about something stupid.
4. I will always have someone to help me get ready.
Whenever I need someone to help me pick out an outfit or to help with my makeup, my sister is always there. I love whenever my sister helps with this and it’s a good bonding time as well.
5. She understands my obsession for Gilmore Girls.
My sister is one of the few people that understands my obsession for Gilmore Girls. In fact, she is the one who introduced me to it and I can’t thank her enough for introducing me to the best show ever. I wouldn’t want to watch Gilmore Girls and eat cookie dough with anyone else.
6. My sister always listens to my jokes.
I love cracking jokes and making puns, even though some people don’t like them. My sister will always listen to them though. While she may not want to admit it, I know she thinks they’re funny and that I am hilarious (I am one of a kind Tori).
7. She understands my loves for cats.
My sister and I both have an obsession for cats (especially Luther and Trike). She is a crazy cat lady like me and doesn’t judge me when I post too many cat pictures on my snapchat. She thinks they’re cute instead of thinking it’s too much.
8. My sister also loves Harry Potter.
I have been reading and watching Harry Potter since I’ve been seven or if not sooner. My sister is one of the main reasons why I started this obsession besides my cousin Rachelle. Tori never judges me for obsessing over Harry Potter because she is obsessing over it too. It’s great to have a sister that has the same hobbies and likes that I do.
9. Her friends become my friends.
Tori basically tells all her friends about her “crazy” sister (I’m not really crazy, I promise). I’ve added a lot of her friends on Facebook and Instagram and I am even friends with her roommate. She can’t resist telling a story to them about me or sending them crazy snapchats about me.
10. Distance doesn't make us grow apart.
Right now my sister and I are attending different colleges. We are currently about two hours away from each other and our breaks pretty much never line up. Despite this, we are still very close to each other. I don’t go a day without texting, calling, snapchating, or tagging my sister in something on social media. I guess distance does make the heart grow founder.
So having a sister is pretty much the best thing ever. From all the trouble we got into when we were little, to growing up together, she has always been there by my side. My sister is my best friend and I love her lots. I couldn’t even imagine my life without her. I can’t wait to see where life leads us, and it’s nice to know that I’ll always have my sister by my side, despite how many mistakes I may make.
