Do you remember going into Mom's makeup bag and playing with the lipsticks and mascara? At some point in our lives, we all have used and stole our mother's makeup. Unless your mother is like my mother and bought you your own lip gloss and eye shadow when you were six years old like me! And I still steal her makeup anyway! Makeup gives me a hidden confidence. Now, I am not saying I am not confident not wearing makeup, but it sort of makes it easier.

Everyday I will go on social media and see makeup shaming or guys telling women that they do not need makeup to feel beautiful, but those girls love makeup and love the way it feels. Wearing makeup gives a woman the availability to turn into whoever they want to be. If i want to have a beauty mark on my face, I will put one on my face, and then the next day I probably don't want it back on. If I want to make my lips look fuller, I can, and then the next day they won't be. Everything is changeable, but it is reversible with makeup. It is a way of feeling free.

In the past couple of months I have come to the realization that if I was not feeling confident I would not wear makeup. It is not that I did not like the way I looked. It was me not caring how I looked and decided to pretend that I was confident, when in reality I gave up on myself. Yes, I do go out without any makeup on, and I feel perfectly fine and care about how I look; however, most of the time, I will have mascara on.

Makeup is something every girl will have experience with in her lifetime. Makeup gives the freedom to be whoever you want to be and and then go back to your normal skin whenever you want to. Anybody can wear makeup. If it makes you feel good and feel enhanced, then wear makeup. If you feel really good about yourself and want to do yourself for you, then go ahead. Makeup is a way of freedom to be whoever.
