It's a beautiful day outside, or perhaps a rather chilly one. Either way, the weather calls for you to collect your friends and spend the day in the big city. Your intention is likely to create some memories and have fun. But have you ever thought of internal feelings when it comes to going into the city life for a day?

If you're traveling to a city such as Boston, Massachusetts, you are likely entering via train. This is a much more sensible mode of transportation for going into Boston, considering that there are not many place to park without having to pay dozens of dollars to use a garage. At the first thoughts, you'd definitely like to use your car - you'd have the freedom to drive all around the city without having to walk. However, taking the train has more benefits than you might think. For one thing, you're not going to have to worry about getting stuck in the city traffic; but let's forget about the cars.

You get to the train platform after paying the fare. At that very moment, everything is peaceful. Other than people quietly talking with each other, there is really not too much to be heard. It gives you the opportunity to live in your mind - to think about the best things in life, or perhaps what would you like to forget about. No matter what your mindset is, you are still preparing to embark on a journey to a beloved city.

Now, the train arrives and the sound of its cars stopping at the platform represent the beginning of the adventure. Everything becomes even more positive from that point. You take a much more fascinating ride through the towns and cities leading to your destination; it's change from being on the road to kind of cutting through the land via railroad. All of the sights you see remarkable, from beautiful skies, notable buildings, land water, and anything from the outdoors that you can possibly think of. Regardless of what you feel, you will likely find a way to put a smile on your face.

You've reached your destination. There's all sorts of things you can do in the city, such as going to eat, having drinks at a bar, going to a museum, embarking on a tour, or even just sightseeing. Whatever it is that you choose to do, you find some peace. The people are strolling along with smiles, couples are holding hands, the skyscrapers are quite a sight, and the attractions that are all bunched up together are endless.

When you decide to spend a day in a big city, think to yourself about why you're here. No other setting could be better.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
