The Origin Lore Of The 14 Stuffed Animals I Own

I personally don't think I have enough stuffed animals

The Origin Lore Of The 14 Stuffed Animals I Own

The more pillows you sleep with, the more depressed a person is. I think stuffed animals are included in that as well.

Chinchilla

I either got this fellow at Matsuri or Ohayocon, one of the anime conventions hosted in Columbus, Ohio. I am a huge sucker for mysterious grab bags. I saw this table at the con where they had stuffed animals and other miscellaneous figures. All the grab bags had a stuffed animal and I knew I wouldn't be upset at taking in any of those cute fellas.

Puppy chow

I had gotten him as a prize from a claw machine. Literally picked him right up. I think it took me about… 4-5 tries before I got him down the chute. Which is still good since I normally don't win anything at claw games. I originally was going to give this to my friend as a going away gift before she studied abroad in China but she didn't want to pack such a huge friend on her suitcase, which is very fair. He currently lives in my hometown basement. He's also the header photo

Mimikyu

A little pokemon lore on this friend. Mimikyu is a ghost type pokemon that dresses up as the popular Pikachu. The outfit is not an exact replica but it tries its best in the recreation. Mimikyu simply wants to be as loved as Pikachu. Something that wants to be loved, how could I turn it down? So I bought it at a local GameStop.

Sprinkle

A white stuffed dog that one of cousins won for me when I was 7 years old at a Geauga Lake, a once popular water park. I've kept and even added a collar around its neck when I was younger, made of orange and yellow heart beads.

Panda pillow pet

Pandas are quintessential to many East Asian stereotypes and I fall under that. I was given this panda pillow pet as a secret Santa gift during high school.

Unicorn pillow Pet

The first and only summer I spent back at my hometown. I was working part time that summer at a nail salon and I have a summer birthday. One of my closest friends gave me a surprise visit and gave me a Pikachu balloon, a card, and a very cute unicorn pillow pet that I still sleep with.

Brutus pillow pet

I attended THE Ohio State University and was sad at my lacking of OSU gear. Plus I had a good friend that had a Brutus pillow pet on her couch that I took impromptu naps with while we binged k-pop videos back in the good old days. I went to TJMaxx with some friends and knew I had to grab our deadly nut mascot in pillow pet form.

Homemade Bulbasaur

My Pokemon phase will never end. I was given a homemade bulbasaur plushie from a high school friend. Bulbasaur was one of her favorites and it's also well made with the intricate patterns on it's skin.

Joe the Shark

Columbus, Ohio has an IKEA. It's always fun to just simply explore it but they had sharks within the furniture as if a family of sharks is living within the giant store. I had to get a small one, not the large one since it's so large. He was promptly named Joe.

Heizi the black cat

My cousin won a black cat at the same place as where I won puppy chow earlier. Since I was in school, I wasn't able to visit this cat that my cousin won until the next break. She had won too many cat stuffed animals so she had to give some per her husband's instruction, they still have three at their place. I got the adorable black cat that she had pre-named for me.

Usobo-chan the Otter

A Christmas gift from my sister of an adorable otter as I had some store credit on this Japanese anime site.

Pachirisu

Another Christmas gift from a friend. A year later, Pachirisu would upset the entire Video Game Tournament for Pokemon and become a world champion

Pancham

A Christmas gift from my cousin. See how much Pokemon is tied with my personality?

Panda Webkinz

I wanted a webkinz during their hype while I was in middle school. It's a lie and this is actually one of those mini webkinz as those were cheaper than the regular sized ones, but a webkinz nonetheless.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
