To the next guy I love...

Let me start by saying that our relationship might not always be easy, but I promise it will be worth it.

There are rare and special moments where you meet someone and there isn’t a doubt in your mind you were supposed to meet.

Of the things I can promise you, I can promise you that I will give you the best I have to offer you. I promise I won’t hold back. I promise I won’t lie to you. I promise I won’t play you and I promise I won’t ever give you a reason that would make you question anything I do.

I take pride in who I am, but I will always strive to be the type of person you need. I have flaws and there is a chance I could have annoying habits that might irritate you. But whatever you need me to be, I’m going to try my best to be that for you.

I will never be someone I’m not. I won’t put on an act of who you think you’re falling for. I refuse to change who I am, but if I ever do change, it will be to make me a better version of me, because you deserve the perfect person.

With relationships come sacrifices, but I’ve learned that in the end, it’s always worth it. Because when you give your best and your heart is in the right place, it will always work out for you.

I see a lot of people these days try to deceive each other. They try to see who can care less and who can show it. I don’t believe in that sort of thing at all. I believe in loving people so deeply with everything I have and giving them the best I can.

Living with such a blunt mindset has screwed me over so many times. But everything happens for a reason, and here we are. I fully believe that everything in the past happened as it did, to lead me to this moment with you.

Everyone has needs in a relationship. Even if those needs might be a little bit unrealistic. Even if you get nervous asking for something of me, just ask me. I can promise you that I will never look at you and be upset for because you asked for what you need in me. I will try and be that person if I can. I want to give you the world. I want to give you everything I possibly can. But more than that, I want to give you someone you can rely on through thick and thin.

I’ll be that support system when you need it. I’ll be the heart that loves you even when you think it is impossible for you to be loved. I’ll keep you company when you feel like you’re alone. I’ll be there for you when things don’t make sense and you feel like everything around you is falling apart. I’ll always be there to listen to you, whether it be at three in the afternoon or three in the morning. I’ll be the person who is always there for you no matter what, no questions asked. I am going to try my best to be everything you’ve ever wanted in a person that others may have lacked, I want to be that for you. I want to be the love that changes your life.

“So it's not gonna be easy. It's going to be really hard; we're gonna have to work at this every day, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, forever, every day. You and me... every day.” -Nicholas Sparks

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
