Traits like humor, kindness, and intelligence are what I find admirable in people. However, in my opinion, one of the most important characteristics someone can have is their admiration for animals and the environment.

Nature has grown to be overlooked in today’s society, and anybody who realizes this is somebody that I admire. Being socially conscious of the world around you is important, but I have met few people in my life that actually care about the state of our planet and all of its inhabitants.

The few people I have met that do feel strongly about this vital issue are held on an entirely different level than others. It is easy to go on with the every day routine, only caring about pop culture and other meaningless things. But to take a step back and realize what is happening to our world is an issue of the utmost importance is something not everybody can, or is willing to, do.

It is easy to stick with the same complaints you see some make while scrolling down your Facebook news feed: refuges, media, etc. But how often do you see somebody constantly bringing attention to the disenfranchised side of our world?

To truly care about our planet and all of its inhabitants is the characteristic I admire the most in someone, and although I have met a select few people who carry this trait, those people are the ones I hold closest to my heart
