**SPOILERS**
Stranger Things season 2 was released on October 27, and so, my weekend was spent binge-watching the spooky retro Netflix show. No shame.
I was NOT disappointed! This season was even BETTER than season 1, which is hard to believe since season 1 was so beautiful and perfect. So here are the many, many thoughts I had watching season 2 of Stranger Things. (I'M STILL SHOOK)
Chapter 1: "MADMAX"
Um. Did anyone else just pause the episode to make sure they were watching the right show??? WHO ARE THESE MASKED PEOPLE?!
OOOHHH !!!!! THAT GIRL HAS POWERS LIKE ELEVEN!!!!
Ahhh back to home sweet home in Hawkins, Indiana.
Dustin!! I missed you!
Mike!! I missed you!
Lucas!! I missed you!
Will!! I missed you!
It's so cute how excited they are for an arcade game.
"I'm not prostituting my sister!" LOL
WHAT ! IS ! HAPPENING ! TO ! WILL !!!!!!!
Ugh Nancy is still with Steve? GIRL DROP HIM! You deserve better!
Oh there's a new douche bag in town!
Okay seriously?!? Who is making fun of Will and calling him "Zombie Boy????"
Woah...okay Joyce....who's this dude??? AND WHY ARE YOU NOT DATING HOPPER?!? I'm salty.
I like how they have Mikey from the Goonies playing Joyce's boyfriend though.
And I'm glad Joyce is all happy and content with her life.....FINALLY!!!
Ugh there's a new annoying scientist in town...
Poor Will :( Can't he just have peace in his life?!?!
Man, Mike is so angry and aggravated. Take a nap, jeez.
Oh, awkward dinner with Barb's parents. Yikes.
And now I'm craving KFC.
Aw Mike misses Eleven so much. Me too, Mike. Me too.
Poor Will just wants to feel normal again, but everyone is carefully watching over him as if he's a newborn baby.
OMG HOPPER IS TAKING CARE OF ELEVEN. MY HEART CAN'T TAKE THIS!!!
MILLIE IS ROCKING THAT HAIRDO!! YASSS
Billy, on the other hand, is not.
Chapter 2: "Trick or Treat, Freak"
Ahhhhh so THAT'S how Eleven got back to Hawkins!!
Aw I just want to give Eleven a big hug.
Hopper, just let Eleven trick or treat, you grump.
But it warms my heart how much Hopper cares for Eleven.
Lol I'm laughing at the fact that Joyce freaked out trying to find Will and all he was doing was peeing.
OMG ELEVEN WANTS TO BE A GHOST AND HER FRIENDS ARE DRESSING AS GHOSTBUSTERS AHHH
This little love triangle between Dustin, Lucas and Max is so adorable.
Ugh these scientists.....AGAIN!!!
Drunk Nancy is my favorite Nancy.
OOOH I am loving season 2 nice-guy Steve!
I don't, however, love Nancy yelling at Steve.
WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THESE PUMPKINS?
Okay I hate this Billy dude.
Okay Mike, I get that you miss Eleven, but don't treat Max like she's trash.

Chapter 3: "The Pollywog"
I am absolutely loving this father/daughter relationship going on with Hopper and Eleven.
Only Dustin would find a strange creature in the garbage and decide to keep it as his pet. Because that has never gone horribly wrong in any movie ever???
Dart is actually disgusting.
I am loving this adorably delightful scene with Hopper dancing around the cabin like a goofball.
BUT WHY WOULD DUSTIN BRING DART TO SCHOOL? ?? ??
OOOH what is Nancy up to with Jonathan??
I really love Bob. What a nice guy. He cares fiercely for Joyce and her kids, and that is just really sweet, given all that the Byers's have been through in the past year.
I feel conflicted though. I'm glad that Joyce is happy with Bob, but I really really really want Hopper and Joyce to get together.
OOOOOH Eleven is sneaking out of the house!!!
Eleven is on a mission to the school. YES. You go girl.
Omg Dart is loose in the school.
ELEVEN AND MIKE JUST PASSED EACH OTHER IN THE HALLS!!! BUT THEY DIDN'T SEE EACH OTHER!!! GAHHH THIS SHOW
MIKE LOOK AT THE DOOR!!!!
I feel so bad for Eleven. She was locked inside a cabin for a year, and when she escapes to find Mike, she finds him talking to another girl.
Eleven is so savage and I love it.
They were so close to reuniting, ughhhhhhh.
WILL WHAT IS HAPPENING!!!!!
Chapter 4: "Will the Wise"
What is happening to Will. What is happening!!!!!
Noah's acting is on point.
I feel so bad for Joyce. She just wants to go back to her normal life, and now that she's finally reunited with Will, he is acting strange.
All these bizarre vine drawings remind me of that time Joyce strung up Christmas lights around her house.
NANCY AND JONATHAN, GET OUT OF THAT PARK.
Okay I really hate Billy.
Wait... did Dart really just eat Dustin's cat???

DART IS A BABY DEMOGORGON OMG.
I am not loving this fight between Eleven and Hopper. I would hate to be locked up all day by myself, but I get Hopper's point. I don’t blame him for being at the end of his tether, but at the same time, man, don’t yell at the poor girl. Eleven's been abused for most of her life!
“You wanna go back in the lab? One phone call, I can make that happen.” Ouch.
And I'm sure he'd hate to lose Eleven, since he cares for her like she's his daughter, especially since he already lost his own daughter. (That flashback scene in season 1 made me bawl.)
Millie's acting is on point.
So is David's.
"He likes it cold." *SHUDDERS*
OOHH BOY, Eleven's going to find her mother!
Hopper don't go down in that hole please.
Chapter 5: "Dig Dug"
OH NO!! HOPPER IS STUCK IN THE UPSIDE DOWN TUNNEL!!!
If something happens to Hopper, I'm going to officially break up with this show.
Why does everyone in the group get a love interest EXCEPT for Will? Is his love interest suffering?
Bob is so awesome! He just helps Will and Joyce without any questions.
Okay who is this Murray dude?
OH YEAH! He's the weird conspiracy theorist dude from episode 1!
I like how Mr. Wheeler is the most chill dad ever. He's just like "yeah our children are never home, don't know what to tell ya ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Sorry."
Ugh Lucas!! Don't tell Max everything about last year!!

Lucas' sister is so savage.

This situation with Hopper is really stressing me out.
Steve's bat looks like the bat that the one evil character uses in The Walking Dead. (I don't watch that show.)
I am LOVING this Dustin/Steve teamwork duo! Such an unexpected friendship!

Chapter 6: "The Spy"
Will doesn't recognize Bob. I'm sad.
Will is possessed by the shadow monster. I'm sad.
JONATHAN AND NANCY ARE FINALLY TOGETHER!!!!!!
Murray: "How was that pull out?"
*Jonathan chokes*
Steve: "How come the only one helping me is this random girl?" LOL I love how Steve is basically babysitting the kids.
Steve Harrington may not be King of Hawkins High anymore, but he will always be King of Character Development. Proud of him.
I AM SO MAD THAT ELEVEN IS NOT HOME TO HEAR HOPPER'S APOLOGY UGHHHHH.
Aw poor Max. Her brother is such a jerk.
OMG THERE IS A WHOLE PACK OF BABY DEMOGORGONS!!! AHHH!!!!
I have a bad feeling about this group of scientists going in the Upside Down.
I'm getting Jurassic Park vibes from these scientists getting attacked one by one. It's like the line in Lost World where the one guy says, "Don't go in the tall grass!!!" and they do anyway, and they all die; just like these scientists.
Ugh and Mike even warned them not to go because it's a trap!
But I'm really concerned with the fact that the shadow monster has basically taken over Will now.
OH MY GOSH. THE BABY DEMOGORGONS ARE IN THE LAB!!!!
Chapter 7: "The Lost Sister"
Okay so Eleven just left her mom's house and got on a bus to Chicago... by herself?
Eeeek these Chicago scenes with Eleven are making me nervous. She is literally walking the sketchiest streets ever.
OH! It's the masked people from the first episode!
They look like they all just stepped out of Hot Topic.
OH BOY SHE FOUND HER LONG LOST SISTER!!
Kali has the COOLEST power ever!!
So this group is going to use Eleven to hunt down people and kill them???
And Eleven is okay with this??
Eh I don't believe that Eleven would ever call this place home. Her home is in Hawkins, Indiana.
Man, this scene where Eleven moves a train with her mind is so awesome.
Eleven is SLAYING her new look!
The group of ragtag killers shoplift a store for supplies, and Eleven steals a bunch of Eggos.

Chapter 8: "Mind Flayer"
I am so stressed about everyone in this lab. Nothing better happen to Joyce, Hopper, Bob, Will or Mike.
Billy's terribleness makes sense now given how terrible his father is.
I'm still not over the fact that Dustin wasn't bothered by Dart eating his cat.
Oh boy, the power is out at the lab. It's not looking good.
OKAY so Bob volunteered to save everyone. Very heroic.
I'm getting more Jurassic Park vibes... reptiles overtaking a building... no power... helpless people stranded inside and trying to get out.
AHAHAHAH I love this awkward reunion with Jonathan, Nancy, and Steve.
BOB HIDE!

Oh crap, the shot of Bob and Joyce smiling in relief at each other just went on a liiiiittle bit too long and then... WAIT... HE'S DEAD?????

Everyone taking turns talking to Will about their favorite memories of him is such a great scene. So emotional.

This scene is so intense.
ELEVEN'S BACK!!!!!!
Okay, this was the moment that emotionally destroyed me. I have waited all season for this reunion. And it is absolutely perfect.
Chapter 9: "The Gate"
Woooo boy, I am still trying to recover from that episode, but here we go, SEASON FINALE.
Oh my Lord, Mike freaking out on Hopper and then breaking down in his arms. I'm crying.
HOPPER IS EVERYBODY’S DAD.
Lol Eleven totally ignoring Max was great. So petty.
Ew Billy is being so gross to Mrs. Wheeler.
I am loving this little father/daughter talk in Hopper's truck.
He's like, "so, where did you go??"
Eleven: "I got in a truck with a nice man and he took me to Mama's."
Hopper: "Lol ok."
BRB crying because Eleven asked who Sarah was.
I really really love how Steve is part of the gang and getting in on all the shenanigans. He has totally redeemed himself from acting like a total douche last season.
Billy is genuinely a monster. He could be the villain in season 3.

Will screaming in pain literally hurts me.
Dustin still believes that Dart is his pet. I want to slap him.
ELEVEN LOOKS SO FIERCE. CLOSE THE GATE GIRL!!
So we are finally getting a funeral for Barb, but like... did they find her body or did they just bury an empty casket? I still hate how they covered up her death and lied to her parents.
HOPPER IS ADOPTING ELEVEN. I'M CRYING.
All the kids getting ready for the dance is so adorable. They are all so nervous and it's making me smile like a goof.
Okay let's be real; Erica was the real star of Season 2
DUSTIN'S HAIR OMG.
STEVE DROVE DUSTIN TO THE DANCE. BLESS HIS HEART.
Season One: “Nancy deserves better than Steve.”

Oh goodness poor Dustin! This whole school dance rejection sequence is so painful. These girls are the actual worst. Thank GOD for Nancy.

Just about every couple – or potential couple – on the show gets a moment at the end here! Including Joyce and Hopper, my everything.
