Not everyone’s a morning person. For those who are, I admire you and I like to think of myself as one of you. For those who are not, there is a magical potion put on the Earth just for you: coffee.
Personally, I can drink coffee black (like my dad does) or with a myriad of milks, flavors and sweeteners. Either way, it’s amazing. It wakes you up, energizes you, and brightens your day. It’s like a warm, nice-smelling wake-up call – almost equivalent to a delicious, aromatic slap in the face. For those who don’t like the taste, the smell is equally good. As the saying goes, “wake up and smell the coffee”. I actually live my life by that motto.
There are all types of coffee drinks from all types of coffee places; so many that everyone can find at least one drink they like. These options range from simple black coffee to mocha-caramel-vanilla-cinnamon- pumpkin-frozen frappuccinos. No matter your preference – whether you like to make the barista work while putting in your order or to just say a few words and move on down the line – there is something for you. And as a last resort, if you don’t want to get your coffee intake by drinking it, there’s always coffee ice cream.
I’m a coffee fanatic, some would even call me addicted. I drink it every morning whether I make it myself or treat myself to a special drink from Dunkin or Starbucks, I have to have it. Coffee doesn’t have to just be consumed in the morning, it can be enjoyed at any and all times of day or night. Has the 3 o’clock slump got you down? Coffee can help with that. Night on the town got you down? Coffee can help with that. Life got you down? Coffee can help with that. Coffee is my personal magic cure-all.
Coffee can wake you up in the morning, wake you up even more in the afternoon, or just simply be something tasty to drink. Immerse yourself into the coffee life – whether it’s for the caffeine or simply the taste of a decaf cup of joe. I have to agree with Hugh Jackman on the fact that “the smell of fresh-made coffee is one of the greatest inventions.”
