How You Know You Ignore Social Norms, As Told By Jennifer Lawrence

There are two types of people in this world: People who follow and conform to social norms, and people who, well, don't. Of course people who conform to our society's norms are great people, but, in my own humble opinion, the people who disregard these norms are even better. Here is a list of 25 points that all people who ignore social norms can relate to, and of course, who is better than the wonderful, J-Law, to illustrate these items.

1. Your greetings sometimes throw people off, or may not exactly match the situation.

2. You don't care where you are, if you're hungry, watch out.

3. You'll say anything, even in public situations, the more inappropriate the better.

4. You end up asking yourself this question. A LOT.

5. Freedom of speech, your language should not be censored. A nice curse word adds spunk.

And yea, just like J-Law, you may use your choice words on inanimate objects.

6. You find yourself in awkward situations, and make them more awkward by recognizing the awkwardness.

7. Speaking of awkward, your dancing often catches the attention of others, and not for the right reasons.

8. You never feel the need to act like an "adult." Besides, who doesn't love a game of chubby bunny?

9. There is no one better at making an ugly face than you.

And of course ,you have more than one ugly face, after all you are the master of ugly faces.

10. You say the wrong thing and the only way you cover it up is by making one of those "eep" faces that you have mastered.

11. Making a shocked expression happens more often than it should.

Basically, you're very good at making faces for all different situations.

12. You sometimes, occasionally, actually more often than you should, refer to yourself in first person.

13. You feel the need to narrate what you are doing at any given point in time.

14. You do some pretty cool and interesting things.

15. When you want to leave the ever-so-boring party or family function you are forced to attend, you are not shy about it.

Sorry, Aunt Nancy, I don't mean to hurt your feelings, I am just INCREDIBLY bored.

16. Sometimes you may get a little too excited.

But, like, who doesn't?

17. You don't know the appropriate way to act around your crushes and quite frankly you don't care about how you "should" act.

18. The cute laugh, no, you haven't mastered that. At all.

19. You don't now how to properly accept a compliment or award for that matter.

20. You make a scene whenever you lose your friends or family in a crowd.

"Mom! Mom! WHERE ARE YOU!"

21. Falling, yeah that's second nature to you.

Example A:

22. Once in a while (actually all the time) you have to justify your crazy, energized behavior.

23. When something starts to go wrong, you feel the need to let everyone know about it.

24. You probably let people know too much.

25. The best part, if you ignore social norms you also ignore the haters.

Sure, for some it is pertinent to follow social norms, but it is much more fun to ignore them! Jennifer Lawrence doesn't conform to these norms, so why should we? After all, she is the perfectly imperfect role model we should all look up to.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
