Finals week is upon us and if the exhaustion didn't hit three weeks ago, it's going to hit like a train this week.

LEVEL 1
You're still full functioning thanks to coffee and the 6 hours of sleep you're still able to get. This level is usually the week before finals. You're not too worried about exams right now because you'll have all weekend to study!

LEVEL 2
It's the Sunday before finals week and you've barely done any studying. Looks like you'll have to stay up and study for that macro final until 4 in the morning and then hop out of bed at 7 because that exam is at 8 and you want to get there early!

LEVEL 3
It's Wednesday, aka Humpday and you only have two more exams this week. You know that stats is going to be the worst considering that it is 30 percent of your final grade. You spend all day and night studying correlation and chi square and anova, after your fourth cup of coffee you're just blankly staring at your study materials. I like to call this the zombie stage.

LEVEL 4
You just finished your last exam and all you want to do is take a 59 hour nap. Sadly, you have to pack your car and prepare for the drive home, which may be hours depending on where you're from. This is the level of relief and complete exhaustion.

LEVEL 5
You arrive home, greet your parents and sleep like an angel. This is the recovery stage, the exhaustion of finals week is officially over.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
