The college life is stressful at times, but for the most part, it can be fun if you let it. The college experience is full of things that we all cherish like meeting new people, going to football games and going to that party that everyone else is at. Those things are what make college worth while.
When you are a freshman in college, at the beginning of the year you probably get lost a few times and look like you are running around like a chicken with its head cut off just to find the one building you may go into only once in your college career. You think that you won't make it to senior year and can't wait to be done already. You want to meet so many new people who are in your major so you can study with them and hang out and that's what makes college fun.
When you are a sophomore in college, you're not the baby freshman, and you're not the king or queen of campus, as the juniors and seniors are. Instead, you're in a collegiate pubescent phase in which your college identity is still developing. You kind of know what you want to do but are still a little lost from time to time. During your sophomore year you decide that school is stressful so you decide to go to the football game since you missed all of them freshman year because you were too lost and stressed out. You go and have a good time.
After your sophomore year, you become one of the top dogs, you actually know what in the world is going on but are envious of the seniors. You want to be like them every day. You are on year closer to graduating, but you want to have fun while you wait so you go to a party with some friends and have good time.
When you become a senior, you count down the days as to how many days you have until you can finally escape even though you may have student debt and you start studying for your last set of finals you will ever take. Studying for finals is always stressful, but you realize your stash of food is almost gone so you and your friends make a late night run to a gas station or Walmart to replenish and you only get like four hours of sleep make studying for finals fun. The fact that you are running on little sleep and probably laugh at everything makes things interesting. You know how things will go in the real world because you aren't a freshman anymore and are ready for graduation and you hope you don't trip on the stage.
In your college years, each year is different, but one thing is the same about each year, and that is the stress. Stress is all around and you have different ways of managing it. You may want to hang out with friends or go to a party or go the football game because you know it will be a lot of fun but you know school comes first and you want to make sure everything gets done so you can have fun because college can be stressful but it can be just as fun if you let it be.
Get involved, make new friends, and just enjoy the ride because it will be some of the best years of your life. You will want to cherish every memory and moment in college. Make as many memories as you can.
