I've seen so many episodes of "Friends," but I've never watched the entire series from start to finish until now. So here I am, about to watch the series finale and I don't think I'm emotionally stable enough for this at all. Of course, I do this to myself the week before finals week so I'm already questioning if I should be sent to Central State Hospital.
However, I know what needs to be done, so I've poured myself a glass of wine and prepared myself to feel all the feels in 47 minutes (#blessed that this episode is longer than normal). So. here I go as I live document watching the last episode of "Friends." For those of you who haven't watched this episode yet, I'm giving you a heads up that this will be a major spoiler alert.
The last episode ended with Ross kissing Rachel. I knew that was bound to happen not going to lie, but I'm still so happy.
But now the real questions is, are Ross and Rachel going to get back together? I hope they do and Rachel doesn't leave for Paris.
Monica and Chandler need to get this baby out of this lady, there is too much suspense. Also, the girl they are adopting the baby from is from "House Bunny" and that's all I can think about.
Gosh. I love Phoebe's joke, I'm going to miss her in my life. OK, now Ross just admitted he wants to be with Rachel can they just get together and keep the show going on forever?
Wait what? Rachel still wants to leave? How can she still want to leave after having that romantic night with him?
OK, flashback to the delivery. It's a boy! Monica and Chandler have a baby boy! I love when Chandler gets all sentimental, it's so cute. Woah, woah, woah, twins?
I think I was less prepared for this than Monica and Chandler! But really though this is great for them and it's a girl and a boy! Aw, and they named the baby girl Erica after the birth mom that's so cute.
Gunther just confessed his love to Rachel! Poor guy.
Ross is so discouraged to tell Rachel he loves her and wants to be with her. He's so insecure and sensitive sometimes.
OK, Rachel is leaving to get her cab, Ross needs to say something! Why isn't he saying anything?!
Oh good, he's going after her! I knew he had to. He might die getting there with Phoebe driving, but, at least, they're going to try.
I love seeing Joey and Chandler together like old times in their old apartment. I love Chandler with Monica but when he was roommates with Joey it was so great.
Ross is at the airport they made it! Rachel can't find her boarding pass this is destiny for Ross to have time to catch up to her.
He's at the wrong airport I'm in physical pain!
OK, OK, we get it. Ross is going to make it to see Rachel eventually. Can we just get to that part? I'm so impatient!
He's there, he made it. Oh god, here come the tears, he just confessed his love. I want them to be together but at the same time, Ross would be holding her back from her dreams. And there she goes on the plane. I knew this wasn't going to be easy. And now Ross is crying, so I'm crying.
Oh, she left a voicemail I knew this wasn't over yet. And she loves him too! She has to get off the plane! And she did! I knew she couldn't leave.
Now Monica and Chandler's apartment is empty. I hate this. I wish Ross and Rachel would take the apartment and keep it in the friend group forever.
Oh no. It's ending.
It's over.
Collecting myself. That was rough, but I made it through thanks to my best friend, red wine. I hate finishing a series. It feels like you lost your friends whenever one ends.
Thanks to "Friends" I have laughed and cried for 10 seasons, but now it's over and life goes on. Cheers to the best show ever.
