Over the last few years I have had the chance to babysit two amazing kids, my nieces who although are still very young, four and two, they never cease to amaze me. Why, you may ask, is babysitting so interesting. Well there's a few reasons actually.

For one, watching kids grow up from when they are still in diapers and rely on you for everything to when they are walking, talking and starting to learn to do things on their own. The longer you babysit a child, the more you get to see and experience while they are growing up. You always notice the little things when you spend a lot of time with them.

Another thing is you learn so much about caring for other people and real skills that can help you later in life if say you decide to have your own kids one day. You really learn how to act quickly when an accident happens or patience when something like a tantrum happens or the kids do not want to get out of bed in the morning. It really makes you think on your feet.

Lastly, it gives you a lot of fond memories that make you think, wow, kids do some crazy things. Babysitting for family members really pulls you together a lot more too, and creates some of the fondest memories that never would've happened if you didn't babysit. All because kids o the craziest things and its always a fascinating experience watching little kids and watching them interact with each other as they grow up too. Babysitting two sisters really shows you how siblings can be so alike and so different at the same time.

All in all, babysitting is really an experience that is not only fun, but also a learning experience. You never know what the next babysitting experience will bring, and it is always an adventure that is never boring and full of surprises. You never know what you can learn from people much younger from you.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
