7 Tips To Start Your Journey

The Journey Of Self Discovery

Have you ever at least once in your life asked yourself these following questions:

1.) What I am missing out on my life?

2.) What is my purpose?

3.) Have I pushed myself to my limits?

If you have asked yourself these questions, well I'm here to say that you are not alone and I'm pretty sure many others have done as well. Each person is an author of their own life and like any book there is a beginning and end. We may not be able to control those certain aspects of life along with others, but what we CAN WRITE IS WHAT HAPPENS IN THE MIDDLE. WE CAN CREATE OUR OWN PATHS FILLED WITH PLOTS, TWISTS, AND PEOPLE WE MET ALONG THE WAY.

Everyone has had their ups and downs in life, but if you sincerely ask yourself these questions, you realizethere is something much more valuable to life. Finding your sense of purpose in life takes time and a self-discovery. If you are willing to start the journey, WHY NOT START NOW??!!

Here are a couple of tips I have for people who want to travel and go on a spiritual journey. Now if you are struggling economically and have to stay within your local area or state don't worry I got some tips for you too, I understand that lol.

1.) GET YOURSELF A CAMERA OR NOTEBOOK!

Before any starting any adventure, it is always important to have a camera or notebook to document or write anything at your pleasure. Having a notebook allows you to write your most inner thoughts and self-reflect throughout your day. If you enjoy sight seeing and enjoying the moments, then purchase a camera where you can capture life all in the moment. Once you have finished your journey or time have passed, you will see how much you have changed over the period of time.

2.) START READING BOOKS

Often people get inspired by the little things in life by reading a book, movie, or something they have seen in their lives. Reading a book can help inspire you to find that passion in your life because books are filled with various amount of knowledge. This is why I would recommend going to the library or reading on your kindle on a couple of books that you have interest in and hopefully creativity will spark.

3.) VISIT LOCAL HISTORY AND ART MUSEUMS

Creativity and interpretation is displayed often in art and history museums. Visiting museums that peak your interest will allow you to understand what was life was like before and now. It allows you to see how time has changed and how everything is constantly evolving around you.People, technology, methods, and trends are always on the go and one day who knows you can be put in a museum for a great deed of yours someday!

4.) VISIT ANY BODY OF WATER OR NATURE LANDSCAPE! (OCEAN, LAKES, PONDS ETC.)

Ever had a rough day after work or just simply want to get of your house and take your mind off things? Well if you go to any body of water near you, it is always great to carry a notebook or camera and just reflect. Self-reflection is important to do throughout your day because it allows you to unravel all those thoughts you have locked up in your brain. What I recommend is that when you are sitting by a body of water just write 2-3 pages nonstop of whatever you want to photograph on anything you want, it could even be the smallest things. After doing that, I would take a break and just look at the ocean and maybe close your eyes or listen to music for a couple of minutes. Afterwards you can then read or check what you took pictures and just sink deep into your thoughts.

5.) CONQUER YOUR FEARS

Take a trip down memory lane in your life and focus on fears that you have. It can be a fear of roller coasters, heights, sky diving etc. Whatever the fear may be, try little by little to conquer your fear with someone by your side. It is always a great feeling to have someone by your side when feeling scared and they are true friends because they motivate you to go beyond your limits.

6.) TRAVEL THE WORLD

Ever wanted to travel or walk into places of the unknown? Ever thought was is on the other side of the Earth? If you are financially stable and want to go with a group of people or by yourself I recommend buying a plane ticket to a 3rd world country or your top 3 places because you should travel to a place that you have interest for and have gratitude for what you have today in your country, that unfortunately some countries may not have.

7.) JOIN HEALTH ORGANIZATIONS

If you want to impact the world and help for a great cause while traveling the world, I recommend going looking online for health organizations that are looking for volunteers and NEED YOUR HELP! Your kindness and generoisty can bring happiness to another person's life and will alow you to find who you are as a person in the inside.

Lastly, I wish you all good luck on this journey and if you do it by yourself or with a group of people it is your decision. Each person embarks on a different path in their trail and it doesn't what is the final stop, BUT HOW WE GET THERE! Best wishes, hope this helps! :)

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
