Can man create man?

The Horror Of 'Frankenstein'

Mary Shelly’s "Frankenstein" is a story like no other. The story reached so much popularity that many TV sitcoms mimic its story for humor or horror. Media outlets portray the old tale as a crazy monster that terrorizes the town. It is true that the monster causes complete and utter misery among the Frankenstein family but it also touches upon the meaning of the creation of life. The story accurately describes that there is no creator of life other than God.

I personally read this book through a religious lens, analyzing the injustice of allowing man to create man. Victor Frankenstein proved to be qualified and bright enough to create a creature, but soon forgot the responsibilities that come with that creation. Since Victor created a foul beast it is true that no one of the land accepted his presence. The creation from God can be the only creation that our world will accept. With God’s creation comes infinite love and acceptance. Victor created this monster and did not even think to give it parents as a support system. This monster was left to fend for himself without any direction. It is no wonder as to why he terrorized all in his sight.

Mary Shelly really makes this tale about relationships. It is true that Victor loved this monster because it was his own creation. Just like God loves all of us. However, since Victor was human he also despised his evil nature. While God serves to be an ever forgiving figure, man must learn this skill. The Monster had felt neglected and in turn murdered his family in rage because of the isolation of his abandonment. Victor could not forgive the monster for this horrible deed.

Victor then set out not to give the monster direction and forgives but to murder him.

This book proves that man cannot create man it is impossible. The creation of man cannot be scientifically proven or thought out. This proves to me the importance of our creator and that he is divine. God is not equal to us therefore has a better understanding of the world he created.

This story emphasizes the importance of parents, that the reason that God gives us two parents is to guide us and teach us from their own experience what is right and what is wrong. Without guidance form anyone it is true that any one of us would go mad. This monster was alone and helpless along his journey and had no one in which he could relate to. When victor denied him of a female companion he was heartbroken. The monster realized there would be no one similar to him, no one that he could bond with not even his own creator, this is precisely what led to him tormenting and murdering his family members

This book was horrid exciting and at times made my skin crawl. It is one of those novels that you can not put down. It is so horrific yet interesting, therefore you must read on. Mary Shelly will always be remembered for this unique piece. I know you all think you know the story from local media outlets, but I can assure you there is way more to it!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
