1. Nino’s Thick & Thin Pizzeria

Located in the plaza off Sanibel and 41, this hidden gem is guaranteed to fill your belly. Although a bit pricey for the average college student, they offer large plates of food that you will probably end up taking home because you won’t be able to finish it. And as a college student nothing is better than leftovers (of great food, too).

2. Wally’s Deli

This recently-opened breakfast and lunch joint is by far the best in town. Perfect for a pick-me-up comfort meal like their “Love Me Tender” or “San Carlos Burrito” after a long day or if you have some time in the morning to pick up a fresh breakfast sandwich. They are full of healthy and guilty pleasure options.

3. Rosati’s Pizza

This little grab-n-go and delivery pizza place has, by far, the best pizza in Fort Myers, served Chicago style. They also have other great Italian dishes that are to-die-for.

4. Taco Viva

If you haven’t heard of Taco Viva, what are you doing with your life? This tiny little dive has the most amazing Mexican food. Literally, the same prices as Taco Bell, but a world’s better. They are known for their long wait time, but once you take a bite out of their quesadillas or tacos, you will be happy you were patient.

5. Lansdowne Street

This restaurant is a little bit of a hike for FGCU students, as it is located in Bonita Springs, but well worth it. This place has the coolest vibe to it. It is small, but rich with Boston ambiance. Delicious food, nice people and beer—what more could you ask for? After coming here, you will be planning the next time to come back!

6. WaterMark Grill

This restaurant is also a drive in relation to FGCU as it is located in Naples, but you won’t regret it one bit. They specialize in steaks, seafood, pasta and desserts. Save up your money and treat yourself to a nice surf-n’-turf dinner at WaterMark with your bestfriend or significant other.

7. Yabo

Even though it is located in North Fort Myers, Yabo is a must while you are at FGCU. It’s cool rock n’ roll vibe and large stage for mini-concerts while you’re having a fancy dinner is something you need to experience. The atmosphere is unlike any restaurant you’ve ever been to. This restaurant is on the more expensive side, but you won’t think twice about saving your money to come here once you go. Be sure to check the events calendar on their website and make a reservation for a concert night.

8. First Watch

After a long week of school, work or a long night of partying, First Watch is a great choice the next morning to fuel you up and cure that nasty hangover. They’ve got some of the best tasting healthy breakfast and fruit drinks in town.

9. World of Beer (On Sundays)

If you’ve never been to WOB on Sunday’s for their brunch, you’re missing out. With an obvious endless selection of craft beers to their exceptionally tasting brunch menu items like their Blueberry French Toast and Egg Sandwiches coupled with good company, you’re guaranteed to be a regular every Sunday. Only $22 gets you one food item and bottomless mimosas, beermosas or bloody marys. You can’t beat that!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
