Having a pet always make your life better

We all have pets that make our lives better. The joy, laughter, and love they bring to us. I have a blonde Labrador Retriever name, Chloe Beyoncé Morton. She turned nine in October. Chloe loves to eat. I mean LOVES to eat! You can’t sit down and pray for your meal without her fork being on your plate!

I had Chloe since she was a puppy. When we first got her, she about two months old. She was so nervous because she was used to be being around her siblings. Then we started to play with her, feed her, and gave her a blanket. She realized we were her family for life! After that, Chloe has been the best and naughtiest thing that ever happen in the family.

Chloe has her moments where she is the devil. One time when she a pup, she saw she had a bag of treats in the kitchen and she decided to grab them. She ate all night. The next day when I was trying to give her breakfast, she couldn’t eat it. I was worried because Chloe loves food and her not eating is bad! Then I saw the bag of treats on the floor empty and I laughed. I told my family about it and we all laughed. Chloe ate to the point she had a stomach ache and we gave her water so she could feel better.

Chloe brings so much laughter into my home. My family and I have stories for days! Chloe was one and it was the night of my birthday. My family and I were watching television in the living room. Chloe decided to go down the hall probably to do something she wasn’t suppose to do. We heard her bark and running backwards up the hall. She ran and jumped on my mom lap. My family and I were afraid someone was in the house. Grandma decided to be a detective and investigate. She came up the hall laughing holding the balloons from my birthday party. Chloe started barking at the balloons. We all laughed! If you are wondering if she still afraid of balloons, yes, she is.

One thing I love about Chloe is that she always there when you need her. She isn’t trained to be a service dog but she knows about my disability. My disease, Ullrich Muscular Dystrophy, causes me to get sick sometimes. She makes sure to cuddle with me, get my mom if something is wrong, and always stay up to make sure I am okay. When I am sad, she always tries to make me happy. Chloe love to make sure my family and I are always okay.

Chloe has been a blessing in my life and even though she a troublemaker at times, I love her so much!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
