The 7 Different Types Of People At A Party, As Told By 'Sisters'

Many people would argue that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are modern day comedic legends. Their improvisation technique on "Saturday Night Live" was impeccable, their memoirs hilarious and their movies guarantee the viewers a good belly laugh. Their most recent movies do not fall short. The movie “Sisters” is based on the idea that two grown-up sisters travel back to their hometown and throw a “college-like” party for fully-grown adults. An aspect of plot that makes the movie relatable is that it shows the many different types of people at a party.

1. The Party Mom (Or Dad)

Initially portrayed by Amy Poehler the Party Mom is the one sober person at the party. His or her job is to make sure no one gets seriously injured, the house does not get destroyed, and that when the cops get called they can handle the situation. Their journals will often have a line sounding something like, “The highlight of my night was driving everyone home and knowing they made it home safely.” The party Moms are necessary. With out them there would be no party, or at least a semi-controlled party; there would be no designated drivers, and no one to hold your hair as you through up.

2. The "I Have A PhD In Partying"

This person portrayed by no one else than Tina Fey is the person at the party that is an expert at going out. Also known as the beer pong pro. They are forever immune from hangovers because their bodies are used to the over drinking. They are the ones pouring the shots, conducting the drinking games, and with the insane stories. They are normally hosting the party and are pushing all the other guests to get crazy with them "it is normal if everyone else is doing it too."

3. The Photographer

We all know about the Snapchat obsessed Facebook poster. They walk around the party taking all the embarrassing photos of the tonight only to post them the next day. To make matters worse they tag you in the photos basically ensuring you never get into grad school or obtain a serious job for the rest of your life. The posts and Snapchats are always very cringe-worthy.

4. The "I Have Been Invited To A Party" Partier

We all remember the first time we attended a full blown college party. We were scared, awkward, and just excited to have finally received an invitation. These people probably over drink, over dance, and are over enthusiastic about every event that goes on through out the night. However, it is nice to see their faces light up when they try something new for the first time and you will forever be the coolest person ever in their eyes.

5. The Philosopher

The philosopher at the party is the person that get lost in their own head after a night out. The meaning of life is often discussed and long sermons can often be heard. They go from plastered to Plato in just a few seconds.

6. The Secluded Couple

Just like in any good part the party in sister has its fair share of secluded couple with not one, not two, but four couples that are enjoying the party a little too much. These couples are the ones seen in the rooms, dark corners, and backyards looking from some privacy and alone time in the middle of the chaos.

7. The Girls That Missed The Memo On The Dress Code

Either they are overly dress or under dress there will always be a few girls who never got the invite with the dress code specified on it. Whether it be shorts at a semi-formal event or a dress at an outdoors barbecue some will inevitably be sticking out for what they are wearing. At least it's better than looking like these sisters ready to party.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
