There's no doubt that beauty is highly valued all over the world, often valued more than other far more important things -- you know, like brains and character. But that doesn't mean fashion isn't still fun to partake in (or that anyone should feel guilty for liking the way they look). But I think there are more than a few trends that we're all glad never really caught on.
1. Glitter roots.
I'm not gonna lie, in certain situations, this would be such a fun look to pull off, but glitter never comes out. Seriously, anyone who did this would have glitter in their hair, and on their face, and clothes, and bed, and probably their food, for weeks afterwards! The glamour is not worth the torture that follows.
2. Dyed armpit hair.
Dye is way too expensive to be using on armpit hair, of all things. You don't by any means have to shave, but I feel like taking the time and effort to dye your armpit hair is going a bit overboard.
3. Oreo mascara.
Don't. Put. Food. Near. Your. Eyes. Seriously, just don't do this. This is a terrible idea.
4. Bubble nails.
Bubble baths, bubble tea... I guess bubble nails can be a thing, too? Or maybe not.
5. Full-body contouring.
Body contouring is done to make the breasts look fuller, make abs more apparent, and the collar bone seem more pronounced. But it doesn't stop there. Some people even go so far as to contour their legs and feet to make them more shapely and prettier. This is way too much effort to make an already beautiful body seem perfect. I supremely hope this never really catches on!
6. Permanent make-up.
Yes, permanent. This look is created by tattooing above the lash line for permanent eyeliner, outlining the eye brows to shape them and give definition, and around the lips to make them seem fuller. I find this absolutely insane, seeing as how quickly trends change. If you're going to spend money on a tattoo, get something cool! Also, maybe not on your face, because if it goes wrong... Yeah.
7. 24-karat gold facials.
I wish I had enough money to do something as superficially luxurious as this! Not sure if it works, and it's probably not worth the money even if it does, but at least you'll feel like royalty, right?
8. Fake freckles.
I honestly just don't get this one.
9. Bedazzled/crystallized lips.
This looks like it would be super irritating. It would also be crazy noticeable if any of them fell off.
10. Dick-liner.
Insider Beauty just did a video on this. Why anyone would want to do this is completely beyond me...
