a plateful of emotions.

The darkest days seem darker now,

spending every day full of frowns.

Your body is up against you,

stuck in bed unable to move.

Crying all day long,

wishing you weren't wrong.

How do you begin to beat

the sadness that is rooted so deep?

You fill your day with positive thinking,

and keep swimming so you won't be sinking.

Every day is a constant fight,

but positive thinking says it will be all right.

We will survive the sadness,

and let in the goodness.
