10 Struggles Of Being Broke
The Daily Mind

Everyone has thought about how great the world would be if everything was free. Unfortunately, the world does not work this way. Almost everything costs money these days. Living in a world where everything has a dollar sign attached to it is especially awful for those who actually lack the funds to live the way they wish to live. Having a rich person's mentality without a wallet or bank account to match it is the ultimate struggle that is all too familiar to many people. The broke person's struggle is something that people deal with almost daily in a variety of different ways.

1. When you find something you really want.

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://media.rbl.ms/image?u=%2Ffiles%2F2016%2F05%2F27%2F635999040611027881-1876212607_iron-man-gif.gif&ho=https%3A%2F%2Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net&s=326&h=87ec73d154fe8c60a84448d7c43646c69b6854c1cda21b299e7c5565765ba281&size=980x&c=2148169501 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//media.rbl.ms/image%3Fu%3D%252Ffiles%252F2016%252F05%252F27%252F635999040611027881-1876212607_iron-man-gif.gif%26ho%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net%26s%3D326%26h%3D87ec73d154fe8c60a84448d7c43646c69b6854c1cda21b299e7c5565765ba281%26size%3D980x%26c%3D2148169501%22%7D" expand=1]

Whether it be new clothes or the latest piece of technology, you set your sights on it and decide that you need it now. This happens too often for most of us.

2. Being disappointed when you find out the price of whatever it is that you want.

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://media.rbl.ms/image?u=%2Ffiles%2F2016%2F05%2F27%2F6359990459509721051763543272_giphy.gif&ho=https%3A%2F%2Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net&s=539&h=d3178c1c0546a3c2e47d72fa4ef2d1c2d86301c2effe2a71ba538ad1183acf8a&size=980x&c=1015478725 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//media.rbl.ms/image%3Fu%3D%252Ffiles%252F2016%252F05%252F27%252F6359990459509721051763543272_giphy.gif%26ho%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net%26s%3D539%26h%3Dd3178c1c0546a3c2e47d72fa4ef2d1c2d86301c2effe2a71ba538ad1183acf8a%26size%3D980x%26c%3D1015478725%22%7D" expand=1]

Nothing ever seems to be cheap in price these days. Everything is out of your budget, which is just downright unfair. Despite this, many of us have zero self-control and buy these expensive things most of the time anyway.

3. When you look at your bank account and realize you spent way too much money.

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://media.rbl.ms/image?u=%2Ffiles%2F2016%2F05%2F27%2F635999050953167239-811011920_2013-06-18-cd-Anchorman.ab87a.gif&ho=https%3A%2F%2Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net&s=951&h=7257e04210cb1be349aca26580fe67ca3c05860dc9a12c8d1708567dd1774789&size=980x&c=3957888358 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//media.rbl.ms/image%3Fu%3D%252Ffiles%252F2016%252F05%252F27%252F635999050953167239-811011920_2013-06-18-cd-Anchorman.ab87a.gif%26ho%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net%26s%3D951%26h%3D7257e04210cb1be349aca26580fe67ca3c05860dc9a12c8d1708567dd1774789%26size%3D980x%26c%3D3957888358%22%7D" expand=1]

That purchase felt like the right decision at the moment, but you soon realize that you just spent money you don't have. Now you must deal with the consequences of your actions.

4. Having your family and friends yell at you for spending money you don't have.

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://media.rbl.ms/image?u=%2Ffiles%2F2016%2F05%2F27%2F635999057163767549721351447_giphy-1.gif&ho=https%3A%2F%2Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net&s=274&h=3881aab4dbb00ee5989b1a7903a19115041b871492f41cb152b6371497c05753&size=980x&c=1765704831 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//media.rbl.ms/image%3Fu%3D%252Ffiles%252F2016%252F05%252F27%252F635999057163767549721351447_giphy-1.gif%26ho%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net%26s%3D274%26h%3D3881aab4dbb00ee5989b1a7903a19115041b871492f41cb152b6371497c05753%26size%3D980x%26c%3D1765704831%22%7D" expand=1]

As if hating yourself for your careless spending wasn't enough, you have to hear about it from others. By now, they should just accept that you cannot control your constant desire to spend.

5. Working all of the time and still having no money.

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://media.rbl.ms/image?u=%2Ffiles%2F2016%2F05%2F27%2F635999065290922697-325800564_giphy-2.gif&ho=https%3A%2F%2Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net&s=816&h=a6caf8d821ea05effcfc7cec3cf756852e674bbb20e2878314d0a9768208e0ba&size=980x&c=157380116 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//media.rbl.ms/image%3Fu%3D%252Ffiles%252F2016%252F05%252F27%252F635999065290922697-325800564_giphy-2.gif%26ho%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net%26s%3D816%26h%3Da6caf8d821ea05effcfc7cec3cf756852e674bbb20e2878314d0a9768208e0ba%26size%3D980x%26c%3D157380116%22%7D" expand=1]

Feeling overworked and underpaid is arguably one of the worst things in life. Many people feel as though all they do is work and have nothing to show for it. One of the worst forms of heartbreak is checking your bank account or wallet and seeing small amounts of money.

6. Putting all of your money towards bills and other expenses.

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://media.rbl.ms/image?u=%2Ffiles%2F2016%2F05%2F27%2F6359990955822383531700344824_giphy-4.gif&ho=https%3A%2F%2Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net&s=347&h=83bb73f0a744c03d611e4fed36d941bebda5cadab30e9def6e692d99d381d461&size=980x&c=694790857 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//media.rbl.ms/image%3Fu%3D%252Ffiles%252F2016%252F05%252F27%252F6359990955822383531700344824_giphy-4.gif%26ho%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net%26s%3D347%26h%3D83bb73f0a744c03d611e4fed36d941bebda5cadab30e9def6e692d99d381d461%26size%3D980x%26c%3D694790857%22%7D" expand=1]

Just when you thought you were about to escape being dirt poor, all of your paycheck go towards paying off your expenses.

7. Having to eat the same things constantly.

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://media.rbl.ms/image?u=%2Ffiles%2F2016%2F05%2F27%2F6359990818507710311546393251_giphy.gif&ho=https%3A%2F%2Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net&s=127&h=10e99c36111cef40f3fc4559c719284ddf2e823b55571530d89d52514b4c2167&size=980x&c=1979761810 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//media.rbl.ms/image%3Fu%3D%252Ffiles%252F2016%252F05%252F27%252F6359990818507710311546393251_giphy.gif%26ho%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net%26s%3D127%26h%3D10e99c36111cef40f3fc4559c719284ddf2e823b55571530d89d52514b4c2167%26size%3D980x%26c%3D1979761810%22%7D" expand=1]

If you had the money to eat better, you would. Everyone wishes that they could eat healthier and change up their meals. Unfortunately, when you are on a budget you are stuck eating the same old meals again and again.

8. When your friends ask you to do something that requires spending money.

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://media.rbl.ms/image?u=%2Ffiles%2F2016%2F05%2F27%2F635999087016389201-447904781_giphy-1.gif&ho=https%3A%2F%2Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net&s=295&h=09cefb5e73f7bbc125d280eecd9f64878d637908a253d22a60c8bc2c1a08a40e&size=980x&c=711762842 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//media.rbl.ms/image%3Fu%3D%252Ffiles%252F2016%252F05%252F27%252F635999087016389201-447904781_giphy-1.gif%26ho%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net%26s%3D295%26h%3D09cefb5e73f7bbc125d280eecd9f64878d637908a253d22a60c8bc2c1a08a40e%26size%3D980x%26c%3D711762842%22%7D" expand=1]

Getting invites to go out with your friends is awesome, but a part of you dies inside when you learn that it involves spending money.

9. Asking your friends or family if you can borrow some money.

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://media.rbl.ms/image?u=%2Ffiles%2F2016%2F05%2F27%2F635999090719042206-264474127_giphy-3.gif&ho=https%3A%2F%2Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net&s=24&h=2f22a66a2f2f2df5cf45e125752c52660697611165c36c08d8b7c932b4c34356&size=980x&c=2622206338 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//media.rbl.ms/image%3Fu%3D%252Ffiles%252F2016%252F05%252F27%252F635999090719042206-264474127_giphy-3.gif%26ho%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net%26s%3D24%26h%3D2f22a66a2f2f2df5cf45e125752c52660697611165c36c08d8b7c932b4c34356%26size%3D980x%26c%3D2622206338%22%7D" expand=1]

Nobody likes having to ask other people for money, but sometimes it is the only option. If you are lucky, you will have people who do not mind lending you some cash every now and then.

10. Treating yourself every once in a while.

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://media.rbl.ms/image?u=%2Ffiles%2F2016%2F05%2F27%2F6359990989341690991686152960_giphy-5.gif&ho=https%3A%2F%2Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net&s=422&h=40bd608ee7b5c43a840d50c81e341e89fe011fc8c7d580874e32f8826cf4f87c&size=980x&c=2965200888 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//media.rbl.ms/image%3Fu%3D%252Ffiles%252F2016%252F05%252F27%252F6359990989341690991686152960_giphy-5.gif%26ho%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net%26s%3D422%26h%3D40bd608ee7b5c43a840d50c81e341e89fe011fc8c7d580874e32f8826cf4f87c%26size%3D980x%26c%3D2965200888%22%7D" expand=1]

Yes, it is important to be smart with your money when you are on a budget, but it doesn't hurt to treat yourself to something expensive every now and then. Sometimes hating yourself for spending too much money can be worth it.

The truth is, everybody struggles with money. We must always remember that we are not the only ones who face financial difficulties. We are all in this broke person's struggle together.

Why I Don't Believe In Religion

I used to be comfortable with religion, but now I'm uncomfortable.

I’m not one of those people who doesn’t believe in God because“if there was a God, why would He let such horrible things happen?” Saying that because sometimes bad things happen, there must be no benevolent higher power, to me, makes about as much sense as saying that because sometimes it gets dark, there must be no light.

It's a topic that needs to be talked about way more than it should, especially in today's world: mental health. Whether it be anxiety, depression or O.C.D. (or anything, really), we have come to learn as a society that it's okay- and even more beneficial than you think- to openly talk about experiencing what almost everyone does inside the complex mind.
