In dedication to the reunion of One Direction, I wanted to compose a list of the best song from each album. This was no easy feat, but I think I found the one song off of each album that is superior to the rest.
1. Up All Night- "What Makes You Beautiful"
Even though their debut album was iconic in general, this was the obvious best song off of the album. This song paved the way for the band and helped them create their brand. The cute meaning behind this and the playful way of presenting it will always make this song a bop and hold a special place in people's heart.
2. Take Me Home: Yearbook Edition- "Little Things"
The second album really had some amazing songs, but this one takes the cake. Its dainty composition makes it an easy listener while the lyrics give it a very personal meaning. The sincerity of the song is so sweet and compassionate that it makes ten times better. The way they took turns signing really let each of their voices shine through. Overall this song is one of their best.
3. Midnight Memories- "Half A Heart"
I think this was my least favorite stage of one direction. It was that weird transition phase between boys and men and it was in my opinion awkward and could've been executed better. With all that aside though, this album did have some bangers. This song being the best of them. The production of this song is just impeccable and the music video really adds on to the appeal. This is a very simple song that was designed to showcase each of their individual voices.
4. Four-"Fools Gold"
This is just a really catchy song that explains how much someone can fall for a person even when they know it's not going to be good for them to do so. This song just highlights their individual vocals and let them have some fun with their ranges.
5. Made In The A.M.-"A.M"
This album was such a good way for the band to leave the legacy of One Direction on. The entire album felt like a closing to a movie that was our childhood. The last song on this album is the best though. This was just an amazing close to the era of the band. The simplicity of reminiscing on all they've done just really makes it the best goodbye they've could've given us.
