The Best And Worst Of Met Gala 2018

Some looks were divine, while others were not so fine. See my favorites and not so favorites for this year's Met Gala

The Best

1. Blake Lively

I am convinced that Blake Lively is the queen of Met Gala. Every year, she comes through the red carpet in beautiful gowns that not only fit the theme but show intricate and unique designs that make her outfit stand out.

2. SZA

I’m not really a fan of a princess pink color for red carpets, but SZA killed it with her dress. Versace may have been a popular choice for celebrities attending Met Gala, but SZA’s angelic gown provided a more distinctive look for the event. Her gold halo was an amazing touch that pulled it all together.

3. Priyanka Chopra

I honestly have never heard of her before, but when I saw her look on the red carpet, it blew me away. It was more on the simple side, but Priyanka still looked absolutely gorgeous. After falling in love with the combination of maroon and gold, I found out she is an Indian actress who also won the Miss World pageant in 2000.

The Worst

1. Kendall Jenner

Kendall’s white pantsuit was gorgeous – don’t get me wrong – but certainly not for the Met Gala. She failed to follow the theme and looked out of place among the individuals in lengthy gowns and elaborate tuxedo jackets. She should have saved the look for another event. Perhaps, the 2018 Teen Choice Awards.

2. Selena Gomez

I love Selena, so I hate to put her on this list. It wasn’t even her dress that was the problem. In fact, unlike others, I actually loved her dress. But it was the way that she wore it that was an issue for myself and others. The glitter eye makeup looked tacky, and her tan looked like it was going to stain anything she touched. I think her lipstick choice was the biggest problem. If Selena went with a darker nude shade, it would have looked slightly better than what her makeup artists came up with.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
