1. When you complete your last final, walk outside, and realize you are now free for the summer.
After a long week of finals, the best feeling is finally being free. No more studying, no more exams, and no more essays.
2. ...and then getting your semester grades back.
You feel confident that your tests went well until you see your GPA. What else can you do except feel horrible and beat your head against a pillow?
3. When you finally sit down for a home-cooked meal after months of cafeteria "food."
We all know how delicious college cafeteria food is, right? Wrong. Nothing beats finally coming home to your mom's cooking.
4. Every time you walk past the giant pile of boxes that you still haven't unpacked... and probably won't for another month.
Getting everything out of your car and into your house is an accomplishment in itself. Unpacking everything is a whole different story. Might as well just leave it until you leave again.
5. When everybody keeps asking you when you're going to start your summer job.
The day you get home your parents start asking when you'll start working again. When you see family friends, it seems that they always ask where you're working. If it wasn't for the debt we're accumulating, I'm sure we all would ignore the responsibility just like Nick.
6. Reuniting with your best friend you haven't seen since last summer...
Sure, you've been texting and snapping, but nothing compares to reuniting with your best friend after a year apart. Here comes crazy memories!
7. ...and reuniting with people you would have been fine not seeing for a few more.
We've all experienced those awkward run-ins with fellow classmates, ex's, or friends you haven't talked to since graduation.
8. Hearing "How's college?" everytime you see an acquaintance in public.
The dreaded question: "How was college?" This is such a loaded question and one that you hear every single time you see anyone. No matter how you answer, you can't avoid the follow-up questions that come next.
9. Getting to sleep in.
Goodbye 8 a.m. classes and hello sleeping in! At least until you start that summer job.
