Birth is one of the most beautiful miracles in this life that any family can experience. It is amazing how the entire process works. From the time that the sperm reaches the egg till the day that the baby is born, it is all a miracle in itself. There are a lot of things you need to know about becoming pregnant and having a healthy pregnancy and labor. These are just a few that I could think of.
Planning To Become Pregnant?
Here are a few things that you should do If you are planning to become pregnant.
1. Stop drinking alcohol, smoking, or doing drugs and start taking prenatal vitamins and drinking more water.
2. Reach and maintain a healthy weight in order to decrease the chance of complications during your pregnancy.
3. Check up on your family history and make sure you are prepared for any answers that you find that might possibly affect your baby.
4. Find ways to decrease your stress in healthy ways. Stress is not good for you or your unborn baby.
5. Start a healthy workout plan. Working out will better help you to cope with the emotional stress that pregnancy often comes with.
While You Are Pregnant
During pregnancy, it is very important that you know what you should and should not do. Like I mentioned before, do not drink alcohol or use drugs if you think you are pregnant and especially if you know you are pregnant. Alcohol and drugs cause serious long term effects to the baby.
1. Find a doctor that you trust and set up appointments in order.
2. Do not get overheated. Babies do not have the ability to sweat and cool themselves down.
3. Ask your doctor if any medications you are taking are bad for your babies health.
4. Get plenty of rest.
5. Enjoy your miracle.
After Your Baby Is Born
These are the things that are very important after you have your baby.
1. Get plenty of rest. Not necessarily sleep, but just chilling out for a few weeks. Do not strain yourself too hard, especially after a C-section.
2. Drink plenty of water and eat fruit to stay hydrated and healthy.
3. Do not expect to lose all of your pregnancy weight at one time.
4. You may have "baby blues" after your baby is born, that is completely normal. Just be patient with yourself. You can do it!
5. The most important person in your life now is your baby. Do everything you can to give them everything that they need.
I hope that these helped you in some way!
