We all have really awkward things happen to us and make us cringe like no other. I've just compiled a list of cringe-worthy things in life.
1. Talking accidentally spitting on the person you’re talking to.
Afterwards, you go into full panic mode and see the absolute horror in their eyes, but they're usually nice enough to let it slide.
2. When that person you were staring at catches you.
You don't mean to stare, they're just really attractive and you were just wondering how they are that attractive. It was for science, really.
3. Saying goodbye to someone and end up walking in the same direction.
What's even more awkward is when you finally say goodbye for real, you try to joke about it. Sadly, it's still super awkward and you addressing it just made it worse.
4. Pooping in a public restroom and someone walks in.
It always happens when it has already started and it's too late to turn back.
5. When the waiter tells you to enjoy your meal and you say, “You, too!”
You're probably thinking to yourself they go back into the kitchen and tell all the other waiters and they all laugh at how much of an idiot you are.
6. That period of time when the hug becomes a little too long for comfort.
Just please, please let go.
7. Saying hi to someone, but they didn’t hear you.
You know they probably honestly didn't hear you, but you think to yourself that they probably hate you.
8. That weird side step you do when you and a stranger can’t seem to get out of each other’s way.
Having to tell them to go to the left and they still go right :/
9. The silence after everyone stops laughing.
Once you recognize it, you will never be able to turn back.
10. The beginning of a party when there are only one or two people there.
When you're the host, it's worse because you feel like you have to keep them entertained at every single second.
11. Being that guy that carries the joke on for a little too long.
Everyone just stops laughing and kinda just stares at you and you just want to curl up in a ball in a ditch somewhere.
12. Looking around to see if anyone saw you trip.
Someone saw and when they make eye contact with you, they pretend they didn't see.
Life is awkward, we just have to embrace that.
