7 Habits Of Highly Emotional People

What life is like for those of us who ride the emotional roller coaster.

All human beings have emotions, but it seems like some people can handle theirs more than others. They're the ones who seem cool and collected while the rest of us freak out over basically anything. How do they do it? Is it hatha yoga? Meditation? A gluten-free diet? I can't seem to figure it out, probably because I'm too busy crying over fictional characters on Netflix. If these seven habits apply to you: congratulations, you're an emotional wreck.

1. Sad music makes your go-to playlist.

Even if it makes you bawl your eyes out, you'll pick Bon Iver over Beyoncé any day. Bonus points if you play sad songs during activities other than crying, like doing homework or working out at the gym.

2. Even Disney movies are too much sometimes.

Has anyone watched "Up" without shedding a few tears? Honest question.

3. You’re pretty much always vaguely pissed.

From slow walkers to loud talkers, you've got more pet peeves than you can name. The smallest things seem to irritate you, and all of your headaches definitely come from rolling your eyes 24/7.

4. You’re so empathetic that sometimes it hurts.

Interpersonal drama and family conflicts are especially hard on you because you feel other people's emotions as if they were your own.

5. You hate surprises.

Hide-and-seek was your least favorite game as a kid because you couldn't stand the suspense. Just think about how shaken up you'll be when you get proposed to!

6. The smallest acts of kindness make you insanely happy.

You think the world is a cruel place, except for the times when a stranger compliments you or asks you how you're doing.

7. You’re a hopeless romantic.

Whether you're forever alone or think you've found your soulmate, you absolutely love love. If only you could meet someone just as emotional as you are.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
