As the 10 year anniversary of High School Musical approaches us, I have got to say I'm a little bit stoked. I remember the exact night High School Musical premiered, most of us were still in elementary school. And anyone who knows me knows the years that followed were years of High School Musical obsession. So you can only imagine how exciting this 10th anniversary special will be for not only me, but us, the High School Musical generation. So here are the 10 stages of being a High School Musical addict as told by the hottie himself.

1. The first time you saw High School Musical and you were like WHAT is this movie I just watched?


2. And then the obsession began. You lived, loved, and breathed High School Musical. You got the movie as soon as it came out, you always made your mom listen to the songs in the car, and your wardrobe was filled with shirts.


3. And then you got made fun of for loving a movie so freaking much, but just laughed it off anyways because, lets be honest, if you didn't love it then you clearly weren't in the cool club. (I think I was in the cool club alone.)


4. When High School Musical 2 premiered and you literally had an entire premiere party and everything had to be JUST right.


5. And then when Troy and Gabriella almost kissed.

8. AND THEN WHEN TROY AND GABRIELLA FINALLY KISSED!!!!!!!


7. Then when High School Musical 3 came out in theaters and you begged your dad to take you and all your friends (and then he actually did). And you ended up wearing your high school musical shirt to the premiere.

8. When the movie was actually over and you mentally couldn't handle that you've seen all of high school musical there is to see.



9. When you finally come to terms that there isn't going to be another high school musical, and your favorite movies are actually over.

10. And then 10 years later when you show up to college with your high school musical blanket and your friends ask you how old you are.

11. When you realize that the cast is getting together for a 10 year reunion and it changes your life!!!!
