Logan Paul is a well-known YouTuber with millions of subscribers. He likes to entertain people and post vlogs for his fan base, which is from kids to young adults. As for myself, I've watched his YouTube videos and I thought he was a cool and funny guy. All of that changed on December 31st, 2017. He uploaded a video that was completely disturbing, traumatizing and upsetting.
Logan was in Japan with a few of his friends and out of all places, they decided to go to the Suicide Forest. It is a place where some people in Japan go to commit suicide. The thought of that idea makes me sick to my stomach. There have to be better things to do in Japan; why go to the suicide forest? I don't think they realize that they are setting themselves up to possibly see something unnerving. Something that, I feel, most others would not want to see.
Logan was walking through the forest with his camera and he saw a body of a dead man who took his own life. He filmed the dead body and even got a closer look at it. I can't help but think "Dude, why would you film something like this? Where is your respect?" I was frustrated by how he reacted to the situation because he didn't look sympathetic. There was a dead body in front of him and he looked playful. I couldn't believe that he was acting this kind of way.
Logan and his friends called the police in the forest and later on in the video, Logan laughs about what is happening. When I watched this video, I was crying. I felt so sorry for the man, not only because he took his own life but how he was filmed by a disrespectful YouTuber. The man could have a family who doesn't know where he is. Only God himself knows what this man went through. The whole situation was absolutely heartbreaking.
Many people were appalled that Logan Paul posted something like this on YouTube and soon, it got deleted. However, many people re-uploaded the video so it is still accessible. I wouldn't recommend for people to watch it, especially kids. Suicide is a serious matter and Logan didn't take it seriously at all. Because of this, he's losing many subscribers and fans.
That's not right, Logan Paul. That's not right for you to film a man who took his life and show it off for the world to see. I wouldn't have gone to the Suicide Forest in the first place but I would at least shut my camera off if I saw something that graphic.
May God watch over the man's family and friends. Also, may God help those who don't have respect for people's lives and privacy. No person should have to go through suicidal thoughts.
