Thanksgiving is just around the corner. While in college, Thanksgiving can feel almost like Christmas. The holiday offers students a significant break from classes and Christmas is right around the corner. Homemade food and sleeping in our own beds back home are just some of the perks. Thanksgiving break is the light at the end of the tunnel -- reassuring college students that we are in the home stretch of this semester. Here are six reasons to fall for Thanksgiving Break:

1. Homemade Food

Throw on those stretch pants and get ready to binge eat on your favorite holiday food. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, pie and so much more. Nothing is better than homemade food that's not from the cafeteria.

2. Sleeping in your own bed

There's really no place like home, and one of the best parts of being home is being back in your own bed. You don't have to worry about your roommate or any distractions.

3. Reuniting with your pets

What's better than seeing your pet after a long semester? The minute you walk through the front door your pets are instantly excited to see you and you resume where you left off.

4. There are really only two weeks left of the semester

Once Thanksgiving is over, only finals remain, which means that the Fall semester is quickly coming to an end.

5. Christmas is around the corner

Once Thanksgiving is over the Christmas ornaments are broken out and it suddenly becomes the happiest time of the year.

6. All the good T.V. shows start playing

25 Days Of Christmas, corny Hallmark movies and those classic holiday movies all start streaming once Thanksgiving hits.

So what are you waiting for? Throw on those sweatpants and open up that Netflix tab and get ready to enjoy the best time of the year!
