Considering Thanksgiving is Thursday, I wanted to take the time to highlight what I'm really thankful for this Thanksgiving, and also this year.

1. My Family

This has been a very crazy year for me. I've had to make a large amount of big, important decisions and m life has changed drastically--but for the better. Through all of it, my family has been by my side, supporting every decision along the way. I can't even describe how thankful I am for that. It feels so great to have the most important people understanding you and supporting your dreams and goals.

2. Real Friends

This year, I've really learned the most I've ever learned about friendship and what true, actual friendship is. I'm so incredibly lucky to find real people who I know are going to be sticking by me for a really long time. Thank you guys for always being there for me 100%.

3. College

College was a really terrifying thing for me before I started this semester. I had no idea what to expect and I was practically starting all over again. College is SO much better than High School--I can't emphasize that enough. People are much more kind, accepting, and mature in college. It's so amazing and liberating being in such a much more positive environment. College has been refreshing and exciting and I'm thankful I am able to go.

4. The new special person in my life.

I am so so thankful to finally have someone who completely and effortlessly loves, supports, and treats me like a queen. Thank you for making me feel special and beautiful all the time. Thank for taking care of me and giving me more than anyone else has ever given me. It's so great and amazing getting to share all of the great and amazing things in both of our lives together. Thank you for caring about my achievements and my wants and needs.

5. Odyssey

I am so thankful to be writing for Odyssey. It has given me practice with writing, good opportunities, experience, and a voice.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
