There has been something I’ve been meaning to tell you after over 8 years of classes with you. Thank you, thank you for the many many things that you have done for me. I’d like to thank you for teach me the same love for dance that you once had found in yourself. For the countless hours you have spent in choreographing these beautiful numbers and pick the perfect costume, even if I may have hated that unitard, but I came to love them oh so much and pour my heart and soul into them. I thank you for pouring your heart and soul into me, so I could become the dancer I am today.
Not only did you teach me the passion of dance but you have also taught me so many valuable life lessons that I still use today. Such as, that criticism isn’t bad, but is a way of improving your overall self. Also, that you are not always going to win but if you tried your hardest and leave it all out there, that someone is bound to notice. You have taught me to always be the best you, otherwise you will be pushed to the back because someone is going to do it better. Also, that I need dance in my everyday life, because it truly makes me so happy. And most importantly, that confidence is key, it gets you in the front row, it makes you stand out, and it makes you noticed.
Thank you for teaching me how to carry myself with grace, but also be able to bust out a crazy hip-hop move within seconds. Also, that teamwork is key, you don’t leave anyone behind, you only build each other up. And most importantly of all, thank you for sticking by my side even when I wasn’t at my best, and showing me that hard work does actually matter. Thank you for teaching me how to carry my life with care and compassion.
