An Open Letter to my Best friend

Dear Best Friend,

I want to thank you for the laughter you bring into my life, the inside jokes we share, the way we can notice something bizarre that happens in public, or in a movie that we both find humorous is priceless. I remember when we saw the Purge 2 and we both reacted to the scene where the angry black man fought back to save the victims and we both clapped silently and nodded mouthing the words “Yassss”. I remember when we first met at a graduation party and we ditched the event because it got awkward and we left together with some other people and we started talking about music and you sung to me and I harmonized with you and we sounded so beautiful! You have a great voice by the way, and I love how open minded you are about music. I remember we were at the park that same night and we were singing random songs while we were swinging on swings and I let my voice out and I rarely did that after graduation because of my experience of being bullied about how I sound, but you encouraged me. I thank you for listening to me when my heart was broken by losers, comforting me when I felt alone, and for making me laugh even when I didn’t want to. You showcased what a true friend is, when I was broke you loaned me cash, when I was sad you supported me, when I was angry you understood and never left my side. I will always do the same for you and I thank you for being a part of my life, so many people take friendships for granted but what we have is rare and I cherish it with all my heart, when I mess up you tell me the truth, when I am not giving my best in school or at an audition you tell me upfront and you remind me that I can do better than that.

I appreciate you for believing in my dreams as well you supported me within my first play, you were suppose to be my stage manager but you stepped up overcame your stage fright and you slayed Tessa and the Narrator role. You're the best! We never compete, or call out each other’s insecurity although we have both had deep discussions about them before. I never imagined I would meet someone like you I could call you and talk to you, vent to you, or be upset and we would end up talking about twenty different things and I forgot what I called you about. I thank God I found someone like you to call my friend, and I know our bond will be forever I can’t wait to meet your kids and for you to meet mine, you are my sister and I am your brother. I will always support you, care for you, acknowledge your success and let downs, I will build you up when the world tears you down, and I will judge you if you mess up but I will to your face because you know I am real with you but I do it out of love so you know I am not trying to hate on you. I love you best friend, you know who you are. If any of my readers can relate to this article please feel free to tag your best friend and let them know they are loved and greatly appreciated. Having a quality friend is hard to come by. I thank God for mine.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
