I've been home for the past 2 months and like every college student, I get bored of being home. Most of us are still in contact with friends from college and have their phone number. Here are some of the cliche and crazy text messages sent to college friends to get a conversation started because being at home is lonely sometimes.

1. "Hi *insert some emoji here*"

The most basic conversation starter, they will respond because they are missing you too!

2. To Roommate: "Can we get a hamster for our dorm?"

She said no because of housing rules and stuff.

3. "Hey (friend) can I send you my bikini pics because I'm bored and look really good right now :)"

Shout out to my friend Valerie McPherson for her contribution to the article, she said yes by the way.

4. *Sends a random photo that reminds you of your friend*

Photos, including memes are bound to get a conversation started. It may be tears, more memes, or a chat to follow after the photo. If you send an inappropriate photo, you may get blocked.

5. From Roommate:"This shower curtain is cute!"

She got it, but sometimes random things pop up and it starts the loveliest conversations.

6. "I miss you"

Depending on who sends it, it may be a lovely conversation or it can result in being called a creep, So choose wisely.

7. "I'm bored"

Blunt and filled with honesty, most of the time it will result in a reply that says "I'm bored too."

8. To a group chat "Should I get a piercing or a tattoo?"

My good friend and EIC Keribeth often asks this and we usually say both.

9. "*send pic of legs* Are my legs that hairy?"

It is something a girl would send to a girl, but yeah sometimes it would just a bit off of a normal conversation.

10. "Do you know your schedule for the upcoming semester?"

School is the last thing on everyone's mind, but that subject has to be talked about somehow. Plus when y'all are bored that is a long-distance bonding activity to do!

11. "Should I dye my hair?"

Depending on the color the answer will range from NO!! to girl about time you did the color!

12. To a Roommate: "Hey I think I found the comb you were looking for."

This one is more common than you think, when it comes to moving out, you pack everything as fast as you can then leave. The roommate is either cool with or demands it back.

14. "Can you teleport to my house?"

The answer is always "I wish."

14. To Roommate: "Hey I got this planner, wanna start planning things for school?"

This one sounds weird, but she actually got a planner too!

15. *Sends pic of an outfit* "Does this look cute on me?"

Most of the time it is a yes unless the outfit is totally ugly and wrong for your body type.

16. "I saw a cute guy/girl"

The most obvious answer is "Do you have a pic of him/her?" This one is a very common one and I think I sent one to my roommate in college once.

Some are a little weirder than others, but you have to admit we at least sent or seen these texts at least once. I want to make a part two of this in the future so DM your crazy texts on Instagram @Mikaylaross__ (2 underscores).

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
