There are times we all need somebody to tell us some things without any sort of filter. Things that we like not to hear, but we need to hear for our own betterment. So, go ahead and absorb into your life these ten things that you must, must, must stop doing from today on. Also, be kind and share it with those you know need to hear this.
Let's dive into the ocean of no sweet-talk, truth only list!
1. Recollecting the past.
Only and only if they are wonderful memories should you turn to the past. If they depress you, they are a waste of your precious time. Somebody wise once said, "remembering the past...good or bad, is always hurtful."
2. Thinking too much.
The more you think about something, the more you channel your energy towards something you cannot fix or control anyways. Consequently, you are exhausted...from thinking! Get tired from exercising, not thinking! Get your exhaustion from the right places, man!
3. Weight Issues and worry.
They have been there, they will be there. If you lose weight, you fear about gaining weight. If you are overweight, you struggle to lose weight. No matter which side of the coin you flip, the issue does not resolve - so, take the coin and give it to charity. Don't keep it with you.
4. Munching bad stuff and quaffing bad drinks.
We hear it all the time. The paparazzi flashes it in your face every single day to the extent that you overlook it now. Energy drinks give you no energy, and coke is a slow poison. Yes, it is and this is fact. A packet of chips will not kill you, but will not fill you either. Make wise choices today.
5. Sitting.
Everyone loves to sit and talk, but keep that for weekends. On weekdays, get up and get the world at hand! Prove yourself worthy to your boss by doing an extra at work or bake some muffins at home and impress your partner!
6. Blaming yourself.
If you cannot fix it, then why worry? If you can fix it, then get up and make amends! No wasting time now!
7. Holding a grudge.
You hate someone? Do they know? Should they know? If the answers to these questions were 'yes,' then ask yourself this last question: who is the bigger person? Alright then.
8. Avoiding a social circle.
People keep people sane or insane. No matter what your predisposition as a human, you will normally need some human contact to maintain your 'human-ness,' so to speak. Being a recluse for too long will drive you nuts, eventually.
9. Complaining.
This can get difficult, because we all do it at some point in the day and about somebody. But it can be controlled. Imagine how much time you can put towards other creative and lucrative tasks if you drop this one bad habit. Your skills can be used in avenues you didn't think existed. Do away with complaining and start investing in your talents.
10. Screen-locking.
Stop this as soon as you are done reading this! The glare from the screen strains you and your energy. Instead of shopping from Macy's online, go to the store and avoid the glare. Have a great day - away from the computer, phone or tablet glare!
