9 Life Quotes From Ted Mosby That Continue To Inspire Us

"How I Met Your Mother" aired for a riveting nine seasons lead by Josh Radnor as Ted Mosby. The show is narrated by older Ted as he tells his kids the story of how he met their mother. Since the show is told from the future as a series of flashbacks, which is how we get so many wise quotes from older Ted. We feel so blessed to have the quotes from present Ted and old Ted to help us through our difficult times.

"If you're not scared, you aren't taking a chance. If you're not taking a chance, what the hell are you doing anyway?"

Just a reminder to that being stressed and scared is okay, it just means you're about to do something great.

"The great moments of your life won't necessarily be the things you do, they'll also be the things that happen to you."

Unexpected memories can end up being some of your best memories. This only give me more FOMO, though.

"Sometimes things need to fall apart to make way for better things."

Not every slip up is the end of the world!!

"You can't cling to the past, because no matter how tightly you hold on, it's already gone."

Even though it can be extremely painful, sometimes you have to accept change and move forward onto better things.

"You can ask the universe for all the signs you want, but ultimately, we only see what we want to see when we're ready to see it."

I find this quote one of the most insightful. People will say they are waiting for a sign, but the fact you are ready to be looking for a sign is a sign enough.

"Here's the thing about mistakes: sometimes, even when you know something's a mistake, you gotta make it anyway."

Ted would never admit that wearing the red cowboy boots was a mistake, but you get the point.

"Shouldn't we hold out for someone who doesn't just tolerate our little quirks, but actually kinda likes them?"

Don't settle for someone who doesn't love every bit of you, including your flaws.

"Nothing good happens after 2:00 a.m."

A true classic. My fellow college students need to hear this. If you don't abide by the 2:00 a.m. rule, this picture of Ted is what you'll be doing the next day.

"My parents live in Ohio, I live in the moment."

Okay so maybe this isn't a ~life quote~ but it would be incredibly disrespectful to the show to not include this GEM.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
