Love or hate Taylor Swift, her music is real, catchy and relatable. Here are some of the life lessons she taught us all and continues to remind us:

1. If a boy, or anyone for that matter, treats you wrongly, forget them-- they’re just another picture to burn.

2. One day you’ll realize everything you have is gonna be gone, and that’s the day you’ll want to never grow up.

3. You’ll meet someone who will make you want to dance in a storm in your best dress, someone who will make you fearless.

4. You are not the only one fighting the lonely battle of being on the outside looking in; it happens to everyone at least once.

5. Sometimes saying forever & always doesn't actually mean that; and sometimes a love story has a better ending than you expect (ahem, Romeo and Juliet do not live happily ever after, Miss Taylor)

6. You can wholeheartedly believe that you belong with the top athlete at your school, but singing you belong with me or writing him notes from your window doesn't usually work-- sorry.

7. If this was a movie, he would have called you by now, but he hasn't, because this isn't a movie. See #1.

8. Sometimes, if you're lucky, you'll grow up and fall in love with your childhood best friend and find yourself relating to Mary’s song.

9. Prom, graduation, endless adventures with your best friends-- all those moments you knew would become memories. Long live.

10.  No one can confine you and tell you how to live. If you don’t like the person you see in the mirror because of an external influence, kick out those bad vibes and begin again.

11. You’ll look back and think “I knew you were trouble” about some people, but it’s those mistakes that got you where you are and with the awesome people in your life now.

12.  Sometimes life really kills you (isn't that ironic?) and ya just gotta shake it off.

13. You never know that your last kiss or last happy moments with someone are exactly that.

14. Being 22 or 19, 20, 25, etc. and being 10,000% lost in life is okay. If anyone asks what you’re going to do with your life, just tell them it’s a surprise.

15. I can’t imagine going through so much at fifteen, I guess because I didn't have boobs or boys (all girls school probs). However, you got past things in your life that you never thought you would, and you’ll keep doing that.

16. Blank space is a great song, and I don’t have a long list of ex-lovers, but I am a Starbucks lover and I think this song reaffirms to keep doing what we do.

17. Stop waiting for some prince on a white horse and move on. Get your own damn horse.
