Anyone who has been a “swiftie” from the beginning remembers Tay’s big blond beautiful mane of curly hair. It was one of her signature features. Big hair and country music started it all. The way it fanned out on the cover of Fearless was *breathtaking* . You could look at one lock of hair and identify her.

But, as with most things with time comes change. Soon she started wearing her golden locks straight. Around 2010, T-Swiz shocked the world with her daring new hairstyle (and bangs!). She often switched between the new look and a look close to her old one, until 2011 when the straight look came for good. Now yes, occasionally Taylor would wear her hair in soft waves as well, but nothing like her old spiral curls. At this time too, she debuted her new color, an ashy colored blond.

Then she cuts it short. And has it short with bangs. It doesn’t seem like she sticks to one style for very long at all.

Perhaps Tay switches up her ‘do after a breakup (we all know people who do that and we all know she has had a lot of breakups). Maybe she gets bored. Is it to get attention from the media and her fans? All I know is that I absolutely HATE her new hairstyle. There I said it! I think it looks horrible. Why does she think super short bleach blond hair with big thick blunt bangs looks good on her? It doesn’t. She is too pale and her face is too thin for that cut and color. It was one thing when she still had the ashy brownish blond color with this style, but to bleach it? No. Doesn’t she have stylists for this exact reason? I personally think she looks ill on the cover of Vogue. She looks washed out and old (maybe that’s what they were going for--who knows).

It makes me sad because her natural hair is beautiful. I do understand that people change with age, but I wish Taylor Swift kept her original spiral hair. So, keep a look out for Taylor Swift’s next big hair change. You never know when, where, or how it might look.
