Remember when I said that the story wasn't going to have anymore information? Yeah, maybe I lied and this story isn't going to die down any time soon.
For a recap, I would suggest reading part one of the Tale of Two Corey's but I will give a brief summary as to the story. Corey Feldman and Corey Haim were two teen actors from the 1980's wrapped up in Hollywood, friendship and drugs. While they seemed to have it all, the two had suffered from molestation and rape from high up executives in the L.A scene.
Apparently this story is still going and is still wrapping around the topic. With Harvey Weinstein being picked on left and right from many women in Hollywood, Corey Feldman is jumping on the bandwagon and wanting to call out his demons.
For a quick refresher, both Corey's had been taken advantage of back in the 1980's by people who we are still unaware of. According to Corey F. he had been molested (Which I am taking it as people had touched him inappropriately) while Corey H. had been raped. Now this is one side of the story so while we all know that something happened to them, we don't know the degree of either.
Now Feldman is wanting to raise awareness of the situation by wanting to release the names of the people who had wronged them...Problem is, he isn't doing it a simple way.
He has launched an indiegogo asking for donations to make a film where he can release the names. Now it wouldn't be a documentary, it would be a full feature length film. He is asking for 10 million dollars and only has received 169,000 dollars at the moment of this article being written. Sigh...Here's where I am going to disagree with him once again.
Corey, Corey, Corey. You're logic is flawed and I am in complete confusion of this whole situation. The point that I am raising along with many others is why do you need the money to say names of people who have abused you. Why can't you just hire a very good legal team to represent you and come forward? Now I know that it isn't going to be as easy as one two three. This IS Hollywood and everyone is going to get around whatever their problem is.
Like Matt Lauer had pointed on the today show to Corey that film students can make a film for much less but he is insisting 10 million dollars. So what happens for the next two months while you try and raise this money? These people still work around children and you are going to sit around and wait for money? Instead of saving children lives, you are going to wait to make a film "claiming" to name your abusers.
While Corey H. is no longer with us due to him passing from pneumonia and a heart condition, it doesn't stop his so called best friend from dragging him back into the mix once more. Now let me once again refresh the situation between them. Three years after his passing, Corey F. decided to write a book about his life titled Coreyography which you can believe or not. He pretty much threw him under the bus and since he is not here to defend himself, it turns into a one sided conversation.
Ready for the next big piece of information? Corey Haim's Mother Judy is speaking out once again bashing Corey F. On Monday she spoke to Enews and said "I have a message: The message is, 'reveal your abusers now because you've waited and you've talked about it for a long time"
She has a point, I mean he has been saying this since he has written that book way back in 2013. While that may be only a few years ago, Corey F. still has yet to give any sort anything to the situation. Continuing on, she has also said "because of what's going on in Hollywood, it's opened up a door for all the abused to come forward. None of the other ones are waiting for $10 million to make a movie and then reveal them"
Now this is a woman who has lost her child and has to deal with his "Best Friend" constantly bringing him up to the media as if he is forced to. I get it, that's what friends are for but not in this way. Now I'm not saying that we shouldn't acknowledge Corey H's abuse, neither has she. It was something that damaged him his entire life so of course it should be brought to light. It shouldn't be through a movie, it should be said right now.
I also want to bring up how Flawed Corey F. is because I feel there is more to this story than what is being said and he is responsible for his best friend's demise.
The Two Corey's had a show back in 2007 and 2008 obviously tilted the Two Corey's. In season two they slowly brought up their abuse and there are words that raised flags for me. During the episode, Corey F. started off by saying how Corey H. is an easy target and how he could destroy him right at that moment. Yet he claims that Corey H. was the one that brought it up first but we all knew what that meant.
Continuing on with this conversation, Corey H. said "You let me get messed up in my life, raped so to speak. When I was about 14 and a half. You still hang out with him. Take responsibility. What did you do when you saw it, what did you do?". Here's where I think the story now falls back onto Corey F.'s shoulders easily. I personally believe that he knew or had something to do with what happened to him. Whether that means holding in information, knowing who the person was or what, but I firmly believe he knows something that he isn't telling.
Why I believe it is because of a little passage he had wrote in Coreyography. While the boys were 15, Corey H. was on some sort of sex romp and apparently would sleep with either gender at that point. So what is Corey F.'s solution? Calling a man who is at least thirty years old to take care of it. Now I don't know about you but that sounds wrong and twisted. This guy can easily take advantage of Corey and do God knows what but he called him to get his best friend off of his back.
One more piece that I would like to point out is that Corey F. really, really wants to make this a film rather than start talking. Talking to Matt Lauer once again on the Today show, he said "I'm not playing around. It's serious stuff and I vow I will release every single name that I have any knowledge of, period. And nobody is going to stop me this time as long as people support this." So as long as people donate their money to foot a ten million dollar movie, you'll talk?
Lastly, I want to quote Judy Haim once more. "That's his life, if he wanted to talk about something that was going on in his own life, he did so. It's not Feldman's place to talk about my kid." I mean, she is making a point here. Below is a tweet that Corey posted since she started speaking out.
Now let's all attack your Best Friend's Mother who you have no association with. The problem she has is that he is telling stories left and right without speaking to any of his family first. He wrote his book claiming the truth but didn't ask for permission from any family member. So now we are on a warpath between two former friends. Will there be a part three? I feel that this story is still going to be a roller coaster and we're only going to see where it takes us next. For now let's see if anything else will be shared and the money to raise for the film.
