Take A Moment To Do What You Love, Just For The Heck Of It!

It's choir for me. What will it be for you?

The Dictionary Definition of Choir: an organized group of singers, typically one that takes part in church services or performs regularly in public.

My Definition of Choir: a time to forget everything—worries, responsibilities, work—and focus only on singing.

For 11 years, from 2001 to 2012, I was in a choir, directed by the Great Mr. Walsh, for a homeschool group in my county. At first, it was something that I had to do, but I soon grew to love it. I looked forward to it every week.

I did not have much free time to be in a choir these past few years, but finally joined another choir, a small community choir, last week. These past few years, time has just flown by, and I didn't realize how much I had missed being in choir. Last week at the first practice, as we sang our warm-up exercises, I seriously almost cried I was so happy to now be in choir again.

Maybe the activity or hobby that you have been putting off doing is within reach. Maybe you say you don't have time for it. I wish I would have found time to be in choir again sooner! Life is stressful, but take a moment to do something you love.

It is one of the best ways to reenergize for the week!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
