It's that time again everyone! Apples latest high-tech invention is here for all you apple lovers, yet another phone. You're probably thinking "okay well it doesn't look much different..."

So what is really new and exciting about the Apple iPhone 8? Well, let's take a look at its fancy new features.

Besides the fact that they are already charging an arm and a leg for this new iPhone, let's decide if it's worth the investment. Its dimensions are a screen size, 4.7 in battery life, 14 hours talk time, feature: 4G LTE, Quad‑band, a weight: 5.22 oz, and of course the operating system: iOS. So yes not much different from the iPhone 7 or 6 (the plus size is identical, too), BUT STOP right there! There is more than meets the eye.

A feature we have all been waiting for is finally here, WIRELESS CHARGING! Yes, that means no more flopping chords around, and although it requires physical contact with the phone it does work with a majority of cases. Also, a plus is it is said to be a faster charge!

The iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus are water and dust resistant. An IP67 dust/water resistance rating means the two devices are entirely dustproof and able to withstand 1 meter of water. This is and extra cool feature, especially if you tend to drop your phone in every place including the toilet. iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus both have Touch ID functionality, making them an excellent choice for customers not ready to give up fingerprint-based authentication in favor of the new facial recognition function in the iPhone X.

Another feature we all love to have a good one of is a bomb camera. The iPhone 8 features a more advanced 12-megapixel wide-angle f/1.8 camera with a larger, faster sensor that lets in 83 percent more light.

Other features include a new color filter and deeper pixels for better color saturation, a wider range of color. Basically, to sum it up, it is the best camera Apple has created yet on phone. If you're into the plus size phones you get an even bigger bonus with the iPhone 8 plus with a feature of a dual-lens camera arrangement with the same upgraded wide-angle camera that's in the iPhone 8 paired with an f/2.8 telephoto camera that enables Portrait Mode for the sharp foregrounds and artfully blurred backgrounds ( usually only possible with a DSLR.)

To add even more to the camera feature it also comes with new editing features to make your photos look next level close to professional with more professional lighting features, colors, and editing options such as brightness and contrast for both portraits and landscapes.

Also, the video camera is the most advanced it has ever been with better autofocus and noise-blocker to help stabilize videos to look and sound better.

The battery life of phones is something we all complain about and Apple has continuously tried to improve this feature, and once again they have with the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus offers up to 14 hours of talk time, 12 hours of internet use, 13 hours of video playback, and 40 hours of audio playback, while the plus doubles some of those features due to larger battery.

Some other cool features that are new and improved are: Augmented reality feature which basically uses different apps and games for a realistic 3D look, speakers have been improved to be 25 percent louder, LTE and wireless internet speeds have been increased to improve usage during traveling and remote area access, more durable glass screen and hardware to protect the phone, and true tone to adjust to a rooms lighting and features for more comfortable viewing.

So now that we know the iPhone 8 and 8 plus is expected to be pretty cool, whats next for Apple? The iPhone X which includes even crazier features (such as no more home button), new Apple watches and charger ports are all said to be released in 2018, so stay tuned for more on the future of Apple.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
