But, then what are the cons?
1. Everyone is so focused on having the picture perfect life
GiphySometimes we are too busy trying to capture the moment, to actually enjoy it. There is a pressure to take hundreds of photos, to find just the right one to share without followers. Our lives are so strongly influenced by the need to share what we're doing and look happy. We are so concerned with the visual impression we make.
2. We are constantly comparing
GiphyOur photos never look good enough...
As we "like" other's photos, we begin to hate our own. Social media can be a confidence killer or enhancer.
4. Status is defined by follows, likes, and views
GiphySocial media encourages us to base our worth on popularity and essentially meaningless measurements.
5. We are so wrapped up in it
GiphyWe get caught up in drama and gossip. We focus on staying on top of the latest "news" and trends.
6. There is no substitute
GiphyIf you delete your social media, you're seen as "falling off", disconnected and less relevant. We have a collective fear of not being heard or seen. Not receiving any recognition or being isolated.
Some days I hate social media, and others, I love it. And I don't blame you if you feel the same.

1. Hidden Figures
This movie will make you and your gals feel empowered and ready to take on the world.
2. Pitch Perfect
This movie is a must, as you and your girls can sing your heart out while watching the Bellas rule the acapella game.
3. Clueless
This is obviously one of the classics and needs no introduction. Just watch it.
4. Mean Girls
"On Wednesday, we wear pink." But luckily, you and your girls can wear whatever you want while watching the Plastics take over their high school.
5. Heathers
GiphyLike every other 1980's cliquey high school movie, "Heathers" is the tale of the popular girls at school... with some murder thrown in.
6. Bridesmaids
Every Galentine's Day needs a wedding in there, and this movie is perfect.
7. Toy Story (or Two Story 2) (or Toy Story 3)
Similar to a wedding, a great Disney classic is also needed on this holiday, and what's better than the Toy Story series.
8. White Chicks
Crossing both race and gender lines, this movie is the epitome of comedy.
9. 50 First Dates
GiphyIf this movie doesn't make you and your best friends think of the words "true love", then you need to reevaluate your life choices.
10. The Greatest Showman
This is my favorite movie of all time, so I had to throw it on here. Dancing, a fabulous soundtrack, and Zac Efron combine to make the masterpiece of this decade.
12. Bring it On
No Galentine's Day is complete without this cheerleading classic.
14. Love Actually
This is another cheesy rom-com that you need to watch (don't ask me why, just do it).
15. All 3 "High School Musical" movies
Do I even need to explain these? If you don't watch any other movies on this list, at least watch one of these.
5. Waffle House is the unofficial restaurant of Georgia so you're going to eat there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
