Feeling Uninspired: How To Get Out Of A Writing Funk
Writer's block. We've all been there.
Recently, I've just been feeling very uninspired and honestly in a funk when it comes to writing. Maybe it's because my mind is working very hard with school and I'm just a little overworked and tired. Either way, here are a couple of tips to help you get out of your funk if you're going through a similar circumstance.
1. Take a break.

Sounds kind of counterintuitive but sometimes our mind just needs a break? Try relaxing or watching a movie or even taking a nap. Do something that helps you take off your mind from how you feel.
2. Identify the source .
Sometimes there's a reason we feel like we're in a funk. Maybe you haven't been getting enough sleep, maybe you have been looking at your computer screen for days on end. Maybe you haven't walked or exercised in a long time. It can all play a role into how you're feeling. So, identify what it could be and go from there.
3. Talk about it with others.

I think that when we're in a funk we tend to feel alone but the best thing to do is to talk about it with someone else. Everyone goes through seasons of being unmotivated and maybe the people around you have some good advice on how to keep moving forward.
4. Go for a walk.

Sounds cliche but walks can help to clear up your mind and reinspire you.
Truth is, there is no formula for feeling creative or motivated again. But hang in there, it's just momentary. Great ideas and motivation will start flowing soon. You got this!
