Yes, Even After 6 Years, I'm Still A 'Sucker' For The Jonas Brothers
Proudly, might I add.
If you're anything like I was when I was younger, you were crazy for the Jonas Brothers. My purple painted walls couldn't be seen under the countless posters (heavy handed on Joe Jonas aka DJ Danger). It wasn't hard to find me singing along to their self titled album 'Jonas Brothers' or 'A Little Bit Longer'. Honestly, I don't think I could pick a song I didn't like. I was fortunate enough to see them in concert a couple of times too and yes, I did lose my voice.
So, you can imagine that when 2013 hit and they broke up, I, along with plenty of other people were utterly heart broken.
Life went on for them. Joe and Nick focused on their music careers while Kevin turned into the family man. The fanbase grew with them and soon the J-14 posters were taken down but the memories would last a life time. The songs never failed to spin anyone into fogs of nostalgia but as time moved on so did the possibility of a reunion.
That was until March 1st, 2019.
February 28th the internet shattered when the Jonas Brothers account advertised a new music video. They were reuniting and releasing a song called 'Sucker' and every JoBro fan rejoiced. Tweets and posts circulated the internet of people with their own poster covered walls. A moment that nobody thought would be possible became reality.
Later in an interview it was revealed that the brothers had been keeping this under wraps for 7-8 months. It'd been something that was talked about on and off but ultimately ended up turning into the ultimate reunion when they released their music video. Not only is the song catchy as ever, but the leading ladies in their lives, Danielle Jonas, Priyanka Chopra-Jonas, and Sophie Turner take the spotlight. The mild worry that settled on social media about the midnight release being a let down completely washed away when this single dropped.
It's also been revealed that the Jonas Brothers have recorded 30+ songs that they can't wait to release to the world.
So, ladies and gentlemen, get ready to put the posters back up, relearn the lyrics to Bounce, and get your red dress and high heels ready. We're living in 2019 but the year is definitely 3,000 and the Jonas Brothers will be burning up the charts with an upcoming album.
